Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road in the Town District of Tuakau, at Tuakau.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Kaipara–Waikato Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:

Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section two hundred and twenty-six of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Tuakau Town Board, and shall be maintained by the said Board in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Board.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 2 roods 2·1 perches. Portion of Railway Reserve, Conveyance No. 47888 (part Allotment 4, Tuakau Parish), Block IV, Onewhero Survey District, Tuakau Town District. (S.O. 26107, blue.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 1209, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 22nd day of December, 1930.

Additional Land at Taupiri taken for the Purposes of the Kaipara–Waikato Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Kaipara–Waikato Railway to take further land at Taupiri, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 21·9 perches. Portion of road, Taupiri Township, Block IV, Newcastle Survey District, Waikato County. (S.O. 25984, blue.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 1208, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 20th day of December, 1930.

Amending Drainage and Plumbing Regulations under the Health Act, 1920.—(H.H. 103.)

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of December, 1930.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Health Act, 1920 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of that Dominion, doth hereby amend in the following manner the Drainage and Plumbing Regulations made under the said Act on the third day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and gazetted on the sixth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, that is to say:—

  1. Paragraph (f) of clause (1) of Regulation 20 is hereby amended by inserting after the words “or of brass” the words “or copper.”

  2. Clause (2) of Regulation 20 is hereby amended by adding thereto the following paragraph:—

“(m) Joints between copper pipes, or between wrought iron pipes and copper, or between lead pipes and copper, shall be made by means of an approved type of compression joint for the copper pipe, and for wrought iron and lead as previously specified herein. Copper pipe shall be solid drawn and of the following sizes and gauges, manufactured and measured in accordance with the British Engineering Standards Association (Incorp., 1918) specifications:—

1¼" internal diameter .. .. 18 SWG.
1½" " " .. .. 18 SWG.
2" " " .. .. 16 SWG.
2½" " " .. .. 16 SWG.
3" or 4" internal diameter .. 14 SWG.”

  1. Clause (3) of Regulation 20 is hereby amended by adding thereto the following paragraph:—

“(f) Copper pipes shall be fastened by means of clips or bands of copper or brass, placed at intervals adequately to support the pipe throughout its entire length.”

  1. Division (ii) of paragraph (f) of clause (8) of Regulation 20 is hereby amended by inserting after the words “wrought iron” the word “copper.”

  2. Division (i) of paragraph (a) of clause (9) of Regulation 20 is hereby amended by inserting after the words “wrought iron” the word “copper.”

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the seventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, and published in the Gazette of the tenth day of that month, Section 5, Block XI, Town of Taihape, Wellington Land District, was vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Taihape, in trust, for municipal purposes, in terms of section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928:

And whereas an error was made in the area of the said section in the Schedule to the said Order in Council, and it is expedient that the error should be rectified;

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
