Revoking the Notice prescribing the Amount of Special Orchard-tax payable in the Waimea Commercial Fruitgrowing District.—(Notice No. Ag. 2946.)
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by subsection (3) of section 4 of the Orchard-tax Act, 1927, I, Alfred James Murdoch, Minister of Agriculture, do hereby revoke the notice prescribing the amount of special orchard-tax payable by the occupier of every orchard within the Waimea Commercial Fruitgrowing District, given under the hand of the Minister of Agriculture on the 23rd day of December, 1929, and published in the Gazette on the 9th day of January, 1930, at page 18, and do hereby declare that such revocation shall take effect on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette.

Withdrawing Land from Waikawa Development Scheme.

WHEREAS notice was published in the Gazette and Kahiti of the 17th April, 1930, that the Native Minister has decided to apply the provisions of subsection (3) of section 23 of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1929, to the Native land or land owned by Natives in the Waiariki Native Land Court District set out in the Schedule hereto :
And whereas the Native Minister has now decided that the provisions of subsection (3) of the said section 23 shall no longer be applied to the said Native land :
Notice is therefore given that the said land has now ceased to be subject to the provisions of the said section 23.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block VII, Pouatu Survey District, for Mining Purposes.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Coal-mines Act, 1925, to take for the purpose of working a mine owned by the Egmont Collieries, Limited, and for mining-works in connection with such mine, the surface of the land described in the Schedule hereto, together with the subsoil above a plane 20 ft. below and approximately parallel to the surface of the land : And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land of which the surface and subsoil as aforesaid are required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Tahora, and is there open for inspection ; and that all persons affected by the taking of the surface and subsoil of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking thereof, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land affected : 2 acres 2 roods.
Being portion of Section 9.
Situated in Block VII, Pouatu Survey District.
In the Taranaki Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 80453, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured pink.

Public Trust Office.
IT is notified for public information that the agency of the Public Trust Office at Mataura, at present conducted by Mr. C. D. McConnell, will be terminated on the 31st December, 1930, and that thereafter the business of the office in the district will be attended to by the District Manager, Public Trust Office, Gore, to whom all communications should be addressed.

Regulations respecting the Blue Ensign of H.M. Fleet (Naval Reserve Flag).
ADMIRALTY REGULATIONS (ARTICLE 126).
WITH reference to clause 1 (b) of the above regulations, as published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 51, dated 29th July, 1926, the number of reservists who must form part of the crew in order that a ship may be eligible to fly the Blue Ensign will, for the year 1931, be seven.

to act for such Minister for the purpose of licensing vessels plying for hire, master boatmen, and watermen, under the aforesaid regulations in place of Constable John McMullan, Taupo, and Constable Thomas Johnson, Tokaanu, respectively.
