its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same,
and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily;
and that JAMES ALEXANDER GENTLES, of Auckland, Public
Accountant, be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such
winding-up."

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Relief of Unemployment Loan of £2,000, 1930.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the
Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and the Local Authorities
Empowering (Relief of Unemployment) Act, 1926, and amendments thereto, the Palmerston North City Council hereby resolves as follows:-
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on a loan of £2,000, known as "The
Palmerston North Relief of Unemployment Loan of £2,000,
1930," authorized to be raised by the Palmerston North City
Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of constructing an access road to the City Waterworks Reserve,
the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fiftieth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved
value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North, comprising the whole of the City of Palmerston North, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years-that is to say, until the 1st day of November, 1940, or until the loan is fully paid
off.

I, ALFRED IBBOTSON, General Manager of the Per-
petual Trustees Estate and Agency Company of New
Zealand, Limited, do solemnly and sincerely declare :-

  1. That the liability of the members is limited.
  2. That the capital of the company is £106,250, divided into 25,000 shares of £4 5s.
  3. That the number of shares issued is 25,000.
  4. That calls to the amount of 18s. (eighteen shillings) per share have been made under which the sum of £22,500 has been received.
  5. That the amount of moneys received on account of Estates under Administration during the half-year ended 31st October, 1930, is £312,170 8s. lld.
  6. That the amount of all moneys paid on account of Estates under Administration during the half-year ended 31st October, 1930, is £322,135 3s. 10d.
  7. That the amount of the balance held to the credit of Estates under Administration during the half-year ended 31st October, 1930, is £31,516 3s. 3d.
  8. That the liabilities of the company on the 1st day of November last were debts owing to sundry persons by the company-viz.: On judgment, nil; on specialty, nil;
    on notes or bills, nil; on simple contracts, £81,125 6s. 9d.; on estimated liabilities, nil.
  9. That the assets of the company on that date were:
    Government securities, £10,350; other securities, £115,698
    8s. 8d.; bills of exchange and promissory notes, nil; cash on deposit, £200.

And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of A. C. Moysey, LTD., in Voluntary Liquidation.
NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the above company, held the 10th day of December, 1930, the following resolution was passed:-
"It is hereby resolved that A. C. Moysey, Limited, shall be voluntarily wound up as from 15th May, 1930, at which date all assets and liabilities, in pursuance of an agreement dated 14th March, 1930, were transferred to and assumed by Swift New Zealand Company, Limited; and that Joseph Melmer Preston, Public Accountant, of 183 Manchester Street, Christchurch, be, and is hereby, appointed Liquidator for the purpose of winding up the company."
