Appointments, Promotions, Resignations, and Transfers of Officers of the N.Z. Military Forces.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Military Forces.

N.Z. STAFF CORPS.
Captain J. G. C. Wales, M.C., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b). Dated 11th November, 1930.

THE AUCKLAND MOUNTED RIFLES.
The undermentioned to be 2nd Lieutenants. Dated 3rd December, 1930:—
Humphrey Cameron Marsden Matthews.
Alfred Robert Laing.
James Arthur Bell.

THE REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.
Lieutenant H. McK. Dow, 18th Medium Battery, to be Captain. Dated 21st November, 1930.
2nd Lieutenant I. S. Miller, 13th Coast Battery, to be Lieutenant. Dated 21st November, 1930.
The undermentioned are transferred from the 10th Field Battery to the 16th Pack Battery, with seniority as from the 15th September, 1928. Dated 25th November, 1930:—
2nd Lieutenant L. J. Broughton.
2nd Lieutenant V. A. Smith.
2nd Lieutenant A. E. Shaw is transferred from the 11th Field Battery to the 21st Field Battery, with seniority as from the 15th September, 1928. Dated 3rd November, 1930.
Robert Charles Page to be 2nd Lieutenant, and is posted to the 7th Field Battery. Dated 12th September, 1930.

THE N.Z. INFANTRY.
The Hauraki Regiment.
The undermentioned to be Lieutenants, 1st Battalion:—
2nd Lieutenant A. J. B. Dixon. Dated 1st August, 1930.
2nd Lieutenant N. W. Steele. Dated 2nd August, 1930.

The Wellington Regiment.
2nd Lieutenant J. W. G. Duncan, 4th C Battalion, resigns his commission. Dated 25th November, 1930.

The Hawke’s Bay Regiment.
Captain H. M. Caselberg, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Taranaki Regiment. Dated 18th November, 1930.
Lieutenant C. M. Williamson, 2nd C Battalion, to be Captain. Dated 10th September, 1930.
2nd Lieutenant W. Bourke, from the Southland Regiment, to be 2nd Lieutenant, with seniority as from the 14th September, 1928, and is posted to the 4th C Battalion. Dated 27th November, 1930.

The Taranaki Regiment.
Major G. F. Bertrand, 1st Battalion, to be Lieutenant-Colonel. Dated 10th September, 1930.
Captain J. A. McQueen, 1st Battalion, to be Major. Dated 1st November, 1930.
Captain H. M. Caselberg, from the Hawke’s Bay Regiment, to be Captain, with seniority as from the 5th April, 1930, and is posted to the 1st Battalion. Dated 18th November, 1930.
2nd Lieutenant J. G. C. Leach, 1st Battalion, to be Lieutenant. Dated 26th July, 1930.

The Canterbury Regiment.
Captain J. W. Crampton, 1st Battalion, to be Major. Dated 20th November, 1930.

The Nelson, Marlborough, and West Coast Regiment.
2nd Lieutenant E. E. Stevens, 1st Battalion, to be Lieutenant. Dated 22nd July, 1930.

The Otago Regiment.
Lieutenant N. McD. Matheson, 3rd C Battalion, to be Captain. Dated 11th September, 1930.
The undermentioned to be Lieutenants, 1st C Battalion:—
2nd Lieutenant J. L. Anderson. Dated 31st October, 1930.
2nd Lieutenant N. E. W. Barclay. Dated 1st November, 1930.

The Southland Regiment.
2nd Lieutenant W. Bourke, 1st C Battalion, is transferred to the Hawke’s Bay Regiment. Dated 27th November, 1930.

N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.
Captain J. G. Stewart, M.C., M.B., ceases to be attached to the Northern Depot, N.Z.M.C., and is attached to the N.Z. Air Force. Dated 2nd December, 1930.

N.Z. CHAPLAINS DEPARTMENT.
The Reverend Colin Graham Scrimgeour to be Chaplain, 4th Class (Methodist), R.D. 1. Dated 22nd July, 1930.

RESERVE OF OFFICERS.
The Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry.
Lieutenant K. H. English is retired. Dated 1st December, 1930.

The Regiment of N.Z. Artillery.
Lieutenant P. E. Coutts is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, 1st Battalion, North Auckland Regiment, Class I (b), R.D. 1. Dated 4th December, 1930.

The Canterbury Regiment.
Captain H. R. Rodwell is posted to the Retired List, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 1st December, 1930.
