At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of December, 1930.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the public work for which it was taken.

Duty on Cigars manufactured in New Zealand.--(C. No. 75.)

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of December, 1930.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the manufacture of cigars and snuff containing less than seventy-five per centum of tobacco grown in New Zealand is, in the opinion of the Minister of Customs, now unduly detrimental to the public revenues :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by section twenty-five of the Customs Acts Amendment Act, 1930, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prescribe the rate of seven shillings the pound as the rate of excise duty to be paid upon all cigars and snuff containing less than seventy-five per centum of tobacco grown in New Zealand, which may be made in any calendar year commencing from the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, by or on behalf of Gershon Pezaro, of Auckland, in excess of a maximum quantity of seven thousand pounds weight of such cigars and snuff.

Prohibiting all Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this 12th day of December, 1930.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienations of the Native lands specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienations in favour of the Crown.

Extending Prohibition of Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.
BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this 12th day of December, 1930.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a further period of six months the Order in Council dated the thirteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, and gazetted the sixteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, prohibiting all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.
