SECOND SCHEDULE.
PART I.

Boundaries of the Motunau Rabbit District.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing approximately 29,000 acres, more or less, situated in the Stonyhurst Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the foreshore of the South Pacific Ocean in Block XII of the said Stonyhurst Survey District, the said point being 15 chains in a south-westerly direction from the right bank of the Black Birch Creek at its mouth; thence by a line extending in a north-westerly direction approximately parallel with the said creek, to and across a road which forms the north-west boundary of Rural Section 20504, continuing in a north-westerly direction to and across Happy Valley Road; again towards the north-west to the most easterly point of Lot 2, deposit plan 3713; thence again north-westerly by the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 1 and 2 of said deposit plan 3713 and by the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, deposit plan 3710, to a point on the Stonyhurst Road at the South Terrace of the Greta River; thence by that road to a point in line with the north-east boundary of Rural Section 25833; thence to and by that boundary to the Omihi Valley Road; thence generally in a south-westerly direction by the said Omihi Valley Road to the Motunau Road; thence generally in a southerly direction by the said Motunau Road to Glendhu Road; thence by the road intersecting Rural Sections 10632, 10651, and 10652 to and by the eastern boundary of Section 32420 to the northern point of Lot 3, deposit plan 8968; thence by the north-west boundary of that lot and the south boundary of Lot 2, deposit plan 8968, to the north boundary of Section 32935; thence by that boundary and the south boundary of Lot 1, deposit plan 8968, to the north-west boundary of Section 27698; thence by that boundary and the west boundary of Sections 27698 and 32936 to and across a branch of the Motunau River, and in continuation to and across the road intersecting Rural Section 10634; thence by that road to and by the north-west and south-west boundaries of Lot 2, deposit plan 2189, to Vulcan Road; thence easterly along that road to a point opposite the eastern boundary of Section 32346, to and along the last-named boundary, to and along the south-eastern boundary of said Section 32346, to and along the south-west boundary of Section 30982, and in continuation to the foreshore of the South Pacific Ocean; thence in a north-easterly direction along the said foreshore to the commencing-point. Save and except from the above-described area Rural Sections 9896, 9888, and 10585 in Block X.

PART II.

Boundaries of the Hurunui Rabbit District.

All that area in the Land Districts of Nelson and Canterbury, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the summit of the Brunner Range due south of the confluence of the Eight-mile Stream and the Buller River, and proceeding thence south-easterly along a right line to the northernmost point of Lake Tennyson; thence along the western shore of that lake, and down the right bank of the Clarence River to the track over Jacks Pass; thence along that track, passing over Jacks Pass to the Hanmer Plains Main Road, and along that road to the Waiau-ua River, and down that river to the sea; thence along the sea-shore to a point 15 chains from the southern banks of the Black Birch Creek; thence following the boundaries of the Motunau Rabbit District as defined in Part I of this Schedule to the sea, and including Rural Sections 9886, 9888, and 10585; thence south-westerly along the sea-coast to the Waipara River, and up that river to its source, along a right line to Block Hill, and along the southern summit of the Hurunui Water-shed to the Southern Alps near Harper’s Pass; thence generally along the eastern summits of the watersheds of the Ohaura, Grey, and Inangahua Rivers to the point of commencement.

New Zealand Reparation Estates Service Amendment Order, 1930.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this 2nd day of December, 1930.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of that Dominion, and in pursuance of the authority to make regulations for the peace, order, and good government of Samoa conferred upon him by the Samoa Act, 1921, and in pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by the Treaties of Peace Act, 1919, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, doth hereby order as follows:—

  1. This Order may be cited as the “New Zealand Reparation Estates Service Amendment Order, 1930,” and shall be read together with and form part of the New Zealand Reparation Estates Service Order, 1926, and the New Zealand Reparation Estates Service Amendment Order, 1926.

  2. This Order shall come into force on the 2nd day of December, 1930.

  3. Clause 5 of the New Zealand Reparation Estates Service Amendment Order, 1926, is hereby revoked, and the following is substituted therefor:—

“The General Manager may in his discretion authorize the payment to officers of the New Zealand Reparation Estates of such travelling-allowances as he thinks fit.”
