MANUKAU COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Whitford Public Hall Loan of £550, 1930.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and amendments, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Manukau County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Manukau County Council Whitford Public Hall Loan of £550, 1930, authorized to be raised by the Manukau County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing, renovating, and effecting improvements to the Whitford Hall and property in the Turanga Riding of the County of Manukau, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-tenth of a penny (1/10d.) in the pound (£) sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Whitford Public Hall Loan Special-rating Area in the County of Manukau, being more particularly described in the Schedule at the foot hereof, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the North Auckland Land District, commencing at the south-western corner of Allotment 233, Pakuranga Parish, and bounded towards the north generally by the banks of the Maungamaungaroa, Turanga, and Waikopua Creeks ; to the north-western corner of Allotment 22, Maraetai Parish ; by the northern boundary of the said Allotment 22, Maraetai Parish, to the Maraetai Main Road, the crossing of the said Maraetai Main Road to and by a public road to the north-eastern corner of Allotment 46, Maraetai Parish ; by the north-eastern boundary of the said Allotment 46, Maraetai Parish, to the north-western boundary of the Wairoa Parish at the eastern corner of Allotment 46, Maraetai Parish ; thence towards the south-east generally by the said north-western boundary of the Wairoa Parish to the north-eastern corner of Allotment 68, Maraetai Parish ; by the boundary of the Turanga Riding of the Manukau County, as described in the New Zealand Gazette of the 27th May, 1920, page 1773, to the south-western corner of Allotment 153, Manurewa Parish ; thence towards the west generally by the boundary of the Papatoetoe Riding of the Manukau County, as described in the New Zealand Gazette of the 27th May, 1920, pages 1772 to 1773, to the point of commencement.

MAKERUA DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATES.

Relief of Unemployment Loan, £500, 1930.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Empowering (Relief of Unemployment) Act, 1926, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and the Land Drainage Act, 1908, and all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Makerua Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Relief of Unemployment Loan of £500, 1930, authorized to be raised by the Makerua Drainage Board under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of finding work for the unemployed and for the purpose of willow planting for protective purposes along the banks of the Manawatu River, the said Board makes and levies the special differential rates on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Makerua Drainage District—

On lands classified “ A ” a special rate of twenty-six one-thousandths (26/1,000ths) of a penny in the pound sterling ;

On lands classified “ B ” a special rate of thirty-nine two-thousandths (39/2,000ths) of a penny in the pound sterling ;

On lands classified “ C ” a special rate of thirteen one-thousandths (13/1,000ths) of a penny in the pound sterling ;

and that such special differential rates shall be annually recurring rates during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the first day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
