NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership business of Cycle and Motor-cycle Dealers as heretofore carried on by us, the undersigned ALEXANDER KINSMAN RUSSELL and ALAN DOUGLAS SANDLANT, under the style of “Russell and Sandlant,” has been dissolved as from the 4th day of October, 1930. The business will in future be carried on by the said Alexander Kinsman Russell, to whom all amounts owing to the firm of Russell and Sandlant are payable.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act, 1924, and their Amendments, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts, and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain work—namely, for street purposes at Chaytor Street, Wellington—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken:

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Public Office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during office hours, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such land should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

SCHEDULE.

All that piece of land, containing twenty-eight one-hundredths of a perch (0·28 p.), situated in the City of Wellington, being part of Lot 2 on deposited plan Number 949, and coloured red on the plan above referred to.

KING’S COLLEGE, AUCKLAND.

THE COMPANIES ACT, 1908.

WE hereby give notice that at an extraordinary general meeting of King’s College, Auckland, duly convened and held at the offices of the South British Insurance Company, Limited, Shortland Street, in the City of Auckland, on Wednesday, the 17th day of September, 1930, the following special resolutions were duly passed, and that at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the members of the said company duly convened and held at the said offices of the South British Insurance Company, Limited, at Auckland, on Wednesday, the 8th day of October, 1930, the following special resolutions were duly confirmed:—

  1. “That the property, assets, and undertaking of the company having been sold to St. John’s College Trust Board, the company be voluntarily wound up.”

  2. “That Mr. CHARLES THOMAS MAJOR be appointed Liquidator of the company.”

TARANAKI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Taranaki County Atkinson Road Special-rating District Loan (1930) of £200.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Taranaki County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Taranaki County Atkinson Road Special-rating District Loan (1930) of £200, authorized to be raised by the Taranaki County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of forming and metalling the Atkinson Road, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and seven-sixteenths (1·7/16ths) pence in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Atkinson Road Special-rating District of the County of Taranaki, being Sections Pt. 509, Pt. 521, Pt. 509, Section Pt. 510, Pt. 509, Sections 519, 519A, 520, Pt. 521, Pt. 508, Pt. 509, Pt. 521, Section Pt. 510, Block Nine, Paritutu Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Council held on the 6th day of October, 1930.
