And notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the execution of such public work or by the taking of such land shall, if they shall have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the County Council Office, Auckland.

KAHUTARA RIVER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Kahutara Stopbank Loan, £2,600, 1930.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Kahutara River Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Kahutara Stop-bank Special-rating Area Loan of £2,600, 1930, authorized to be raised by the Kahutara River Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing stopbanks for river protection, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of nineteen thirty-seconds (19/32nds) of one penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Kahutara Stopbank Special-rating District, being more particularly described in the Schedule at the foot hereof, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SCHEDULE.

Commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 3, Block XV, Wairarapa Survey District, on the eastern side of the Kahutara Road and continuing in a south-westerly direction along that road to its intersection with Judds Road; thence in a westerly direction along the southern side of the said road to the boundary of the Kahutara River District, as more particularly delineated in the New Zealand Gazette No. 102, of 22nd December, 1920, page 3351, and continuing along the said boundary to the easternmost corner of Section 4, Block XV; thence in a north-westerly direction along the northern boundary of the said Sections 3 and 4, Block XV, Wairarapa Survey District, to the point of commencement, and being all the land comprised and described in the Ratepayers’ Consent, dated the 28th March, 1930, and Special Roll compiled for the purpose, and advertised in the Martinborough Star of the 7th March, 1930.
