NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between the undersigned, carrying on business at Invercargill as Second-hand Dealers under the name of “Lynch and Coutts,” has been dissolved as from the date hereof.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned, carrying on business as Tailors and Cutters at Hastings under the style or firm of “Hood and Coxon,” has been dissolved as from the twenty-ninth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirty.

All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by Messrs. Lusk, Spence, and de Denne, Solicitors to the undersigned.

Mr. Ernest William Hood will continue to carry on the business at the same address.

NOTICE is hereby given that on the 4th September, 1930, the following special resolutions were passed in accordance with section 168, subsection (6):—

  1. “That the company be wound up voluntarily.”

  2. “That ALFRED LAMBERT PIKE, Public Accountant, of Auckland, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”

NAPIER BOROUGH COUNCIL.

EXTRACT FROM THE MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS OF THE NAPIER BOROUGH COUNCIL, AT A MEETING OF SUCH COUNCIL HELD ON THE 1ST DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1930.

Resolution making Special Rate as Security for Special Loan of £13,300.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Napier Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £13,300, authorized to be raised by the Napier Borough Council by a poll of ratepayers taken on the 21st day of May, 1930, under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of—

Permanently constructing with bitumen paving the portions hereinafter mentioned of the following streets, namely :—

George’s Drive from Marine Parade South to Hyderabad Road ;

Marine Parade from Coote Road to northern side of the Municipal Baths ;

Marine Parade from its junction with Emerson Street to its junction with Raffles Street ;

Shakespeare Road from Post-office to Clyde Road ;

the said council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-three one-hundredths (23/100ths) of a penny in the pound (£) upon all rateable property (on the basis of the unimproved value) within the Borough of Napier, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 14th day of August in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of and a correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Napier Borough Council at the meeting above mentioned.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned JAMES BROWN, GEORGE DAVIDSON, and WILLIAM RICHMOND BROWN, carrying on business as Public Accountants at Dunedin under the style or firm of “James Brown and Co.,” has been dissolved as from the 30th day of August, 1930, so far as concerns the said James Brown, who retires from the said firm.

All debts due to and owing by the said firm will be received and paid by the said George Davidson and William Richmond Brown, who will continue to carry on the said business in Partnership under the present style or firm of “James Brown and Co.”

LOWER HUTT BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Relief of Unemployment Loan, 1930, £5,200.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Lower Hutt Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £5,200 ; authorized to be raised by the Lower Hutt Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the relief of unemployment, the said Lower Hutt Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 50/700ths of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Lower Hutt, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan for a period not exceeding twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the above is a true and correct extract from the minute-book of the Lower Hutt Borough Council.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Extract from the Minutes of Proceedings of the Franklin County Council at a Meeting of such Council held on the 25th day of August, 1930.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Franklin County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of two hundred and fifty pounds (£250), authorized to be raised by the Franklin County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of shelling 20 chains of Boundary Road and 20 chains of Cook’s Road (Waipipi), the said Franklin County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eleven-sixteenths (11/16ths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Boundary
