OPOTIKI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE PASSED BY OPOTIKI COUNTY COUNCIL ON THE 4TH OCTOBER, 1929.

Otara Bridge Loan, 1929, of £1,000.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Opotiki County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and sinking fund on the Otara Bridge Loan of £1,000, 1929, authorized to be raised by the Opotiki County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing a traffic-bridge and making the necessary road approaches thereto across the Otara River at a point almost contiguous with the eastern end of the Racecourse Road, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three pence halfpenny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Otara Bridge Special-rating District, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the members of the above-named company, held at Invercargill on the 17th day of December, 1929, the following resolution was duly passed:—

It is hereby resolved: “That the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908, and that FRANK ARTHUR WEBB, of Invercargill, Public Accountant, be hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the above company, held at the company’s office on Tuesday, the 17th day of July, 1928, the following resolution was passed; and was confirmed at a further meeting of shareholders held on 31st July, 1928.

“Owing to lack of sufficient capital to successfully carry on the business of the company under the conditions which General Motors N.Z., Ltd., have been and are compelling this company to accept, this company do go into voluntary liquidation, and that REX MORLEY HOYES be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of this winding-up.”

WAIKOHU COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.

Ruangarehu Loan (£450), 1930, made on the Fourteenth Day of January, 1930.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Waikohu County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £450, authorized to be raised by the Waikohu County Council under the above-mentioned Act for constructing drains, with necessary culverts, flumes, and fences, the said Waikohu County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅔d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Ruangarehu Special-rating Area, comprising Lots 8, 9, Ruangarehu D, E 2, E 3; part Lots 1, 2, Ruangarehu C; part Ruangarehu; Lot 12, Ruangarehu B, D, E 1; part Lot 7, Ruangarehu D, E 2, E 3; part Lot 6, Ruangarehu D; part Lot 10, Ruangarehu D, E 2, E 3; part Lot 13, Ruangarehu B, E 1; Lot 11, Ruangarehu B, D, E 1/2; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waikohu was hereto affixed in the presence of—

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore carried on under the name of “Pilcher Brothers,” as Carriers, by PERCY ARTHUR PILCHER and ROBERT PILCHER, both of Otane, Carriers, has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the thirty-first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine. The said Percy Arthur Pilcher will continue to carry on the said business, and will pay and discharge all accounts of the late Partnership, and will receive and give effectual receipts for all moneys owing to the said late Partnership.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of the WAIPUKURAU CO-OPERATIVE DAIRY CO., LTD.

BY special resolution passed at an extraordinary general meeting of the company held on the 4th day of January, 1930, and confirmed at a further extraordinary general meeting held on the 21st day of January, 1930, the company resolved:—

(1) “That this company accepts the undermentioned offer made by the Heretaunga Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., namely:—

‘That the Heretaunga Dairy Company, Limited, offer to purchase the land, buildings, plant, machinery, and supply of the Waipukurau Dairy Company for the sum of £10,000, subject to 80 per cent. of the Waipukurau suppliers signing up for shares in the Heretaunga Company, the responsibility of getting such share applications signed being on the Waipukurau Company.’

(2) “That this company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. FRANCIS ARTHUR GEORGE DUNN, of Waipukurau, Public Accountant, be appointed Liquidator with express power to carry out the foregoing agreement with the Heretaunga Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited.”
