Order in Council prescribing the Term and Rate of Interest
in respect of a Loan of £65,500 to be borrowed by the Wanganui
Harbour Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 21st day of
January, 1930.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS the Wanganui Harbour Board (hereinafter
called “the said local authority”) has been autho-
rized to borrow in respect of a loan to be known as “Redemp-
tion Loan, 1930,” the sum of sixty-five thousand five hundred
pounds, and the said sum has not yet been borrowed :
And whereas the Minister of Finance has given his pre-
cedent consent as required by section one hundred and
fourteen of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926 (hereinafter
called “the said section”), to the borrowing by the said
local authority of the said sum for the term hereinafter
mentioned, at a rate or rates of interest being such as shall
not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate of
five pounds fifteen shillings per centum per annum :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on him by the said section and by section eleven of
the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all
other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf,
doth hereby prescribe that the said sum of sixty-five thousand
five hundred pounds may be raised by the said local authority
for a term of ten years, at such rate or rates of interest as shall
not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate of five
pounds fifteen shillings per centum per annum, and the said
local authority is hereby authorized to borrow the said sum
accordingly.

Order in Council consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £2,000
by the Hawera Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 21st day of
January, 1930.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS the Hawera Borough Council (hereinafter
called “the said local authority”) is desirous of
raising the sum of two thousand pounds by a loan to be
known as “Waterworks Improvement Repayment Loan,
1930,” for the purpose of redeeming portion of a loan of two
thousand seven hundred pounds maturing tenth February,
one thousand nine hundred and thirty :
And whereas the said local authority has complied with
the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act,
1926 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), and it is expedient
that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council
under the said Act should be given to the raising of the said
loan on the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities conferred on him by the said Act, and of all
other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf,
doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority
of the said sum of two thousand pounds, at such rate or rates
of interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceed-
ing the rate of five pounds ten shillings per centum per
annum, upon terms of making the said sum, together with
interest thereon, repayable by instalments extending over a
period not exceeding fifteen years.

Amending Apportionment of Representation on the Hobson
Electric-power Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 17th day
of December, 1929.
Present:
The Honourable G. W. Forbes, Presiding in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Electric-power Boards, Act, 1925, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke, as from the date
hereinafter mentioned, the Order in Council dated the twenty-
third day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-
three, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 40, of
the third day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-
three, fixing the apportionment of representation on the
Hobson Electric-power Board, and doth hereby add the
counties of Whangarei and Otamatea to the constituent
districts, and doth hereby determine that, as from the date
hereinafter mentioned, the number of representatives of each
constituent district on the Hobson Electric-power Board shall
be the number specified in the Schedule hereto, opposite the
name of that constituent district, and doth hereby appoint
Friday, the thirty-first day of January, one thousand nine
hundred and thirty, as the day on which shall be held the
first election of the representatives of the constituent districts
of Whangarei County and Otamatea County, and on which
the reduction in the number of representatives of the con-
stituent districts of the Hobson County and Dargaville Borough
shall be made in terms of subsection five of section twelve of
the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925.

conferred upon him by section twenty-two of the Native
Townships Act, 1910 (hereinafter referred to as “the said
Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
amend, in the manner set forth in the Schedule hereto, the
regulations under the said Act made on the twentieth day of
December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, on the
fourteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty-three, on the twenty-second day of June, one thousand
nine hundred and twenty-five, on the twenty-sixth day of
July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, and on the
twenty-ninth day of November, one thousand nine hundred
and twenty-six, and gazetted on the thirteenth day of January,
