Defining the Middle-line of a further Portion of the South Island Main Trunk Railway (Parnassus Northwards), (44m. to 50m. 58ch.).

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of a further portion of the South Island Main Trunk Railway (Parnassus northwards) shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

COMMENCING at a point in railway land adjoining Section 1, Block I, Cheviot Survey District, marked 44m., and proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction generally for a distance of 6 miles 58 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c., viz.: The said Section 1 and Sections 4 and 5, Block I, Cheviot Survey District; Sections 6, 2, and 1, Block XIII, Hawkswood Survey District; Section 14, Block IX, Hawkswood Survey District; Sections 9 and 17, Block X, Hawkswood Survey District; and terminating at a point in the middle of the Conway River marked 50m. 58ch. including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Canterbury Land District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 77680, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 29th day of January, 1930.
