THE business of Contractors heretofore carried on under the firm name of "Nairn and Co." by HENRY NAIRN and REGINALD POWELL will henceforth be carried on under the same name by the undersigned, the said Henry Nairn having retired from the firm.

EGMONT COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Egmont County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £200, authorized to be raised by the Egmont County Council under the above-mentioned Act for draining, culverting, and earth-work on the Rua Road, the said Egmont County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and four-nineteenths of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Rua Road Special-rating Area, comprising all that area in the Egmont County, containing by admeasurement 338 acres 1 rood 35 perches, more or less, being Section 10 and part of Section 9, Block VI, Opunake Survey District, bounded as follows: Towards the north by the Kina Road; towards the east by Subdivision 1 of Section 15 of the aforesaid block and survey district; towards the south by the Oaonui Stream; and towards the west by that part of Section 8 of the aforesaid block and survey district known as Ngatitara No. 28A; the aforesaid part of Section 9 being subdivided into Subdivisions 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14, which are more particularly shown on the plan deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar as Number 774, and the said Subdivision 12 being also known as Ngatitara No. 16; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

CASTLEPOINT COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it and on the behalf of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Castlepoint County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £600, authorized to be raised by the Castlepoint County Council under the abovementioned Act for the construction of a bridge over the Lower Whakataki Stream at Whakataki, the said Castlepoint County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/79th of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Castlepoint County, comprising the whole of the County of Castlepoint; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

MASTERTON COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Tanglewood Stream Bridge Loan, 1930.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Masterton County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £350, authorized to be raised by the Masterton County Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of constructing a bridge (together with the approaches thereto) over the Tanglewood Stream, in the Upper Tauere Riding of the County of Masterton, the Masterton County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eleven thirty-seconds of a penny (11/32nds of 1d.) in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable properties in the Tanglewood Specialrating District, which said district is bounded as follows, namely:—
Commencing at the north-western corner of Lot 1 of Section 140, Block VIII, Kopuaranga Survey District, and proceeding generally in a south-easterly direction along the southern boundary of the Wairere Road to the north-eastern corner of the said Lot 1 of Section 140; thence in a southwesterly direction along the eastern boundary of the aforesaid section to the south-eastern corner of the same section; thence in an easterly direction along the northern boundary of Lot 1 of Section 141, Block VIII, Kopuaranga Survey District, to the north-western corner of Lot 2 of Section 141, Block VIII, Kopuaranga Survey District; thence along the northern and eastern boundaries of the said section to the south-eastern corner of the said Lot 2 of Section 141; thence in an easterly direction along the northern boundary of Section 148, Block VIII, Kopuaranga Survey District, to the north-western corner of Section 150, Block VIII, Kopuaranga Survey District; thence along the northern and eastern boundaries of the said section to the south-eastern corner of the said Section 150; thence in an easterly direction along the north boundary of Section 205, Block XII, Kopuaranga Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of the said section; thence along the eastern, southern, and western boundaries of the said Section 205 to the south-eastern corner of Section 149, Block VIII, Kopuaranga Survey District; thence in a westerly direction along the southern boundary of the said Section 149 to the south-western corner of the same section; thence generally in a northerly direction along the western boundaries of Section 149, Block VIII, Kopuaranga Survey District, Section 147, Block VIII, Kopuaranga Survey District, Lot 1 of Section 141, Block VIII, Kopuaranga Survey District, and Lot 1 of Section 140, Block VIII, Kopuaranga Survey District, to the north-western corner of the last-mentioned section, the place of commencement.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-four years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
