conveyance for firemen, the said Temuka Borough Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of five eighty-fourths
(5/84ths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of
all rateable property in the Borough of Temuka, and that
such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and be payable half yearly on the first
day of March and the first day of October in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
eighteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

UPPER HUTT BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by
the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Upper Hutt
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment,
with interest and other charges thereon, of a loan of £10,000,
authorized to be raised by the Upper Hutt Borough Council
under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of replacing
existing 1½-in. mains for 4-in. mains, and providing 6-in.
feeder mains where required in the Eastern Ward of the
borough, the said council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of one and nineteen twenty-fourths of one penny in the
pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the
unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Special-
rating Area No. 5 as defined by a resolution of the Upper
Hutt Borough Council passed on the 24th day of April, 1929,
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the
first day of September in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of nineteen years, or
until the loan is fully paid off.

This is to certify that the above is a true and correct extract
from the proceedings of the Upper Hutt Borough Council at
a meeting held on 26th day of May, 1930, at the Council
Chambers, Main Road, Upper Hutt.

UPPER HUTT BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Upper
Hutt Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purposes of providing for the repayment,
with interest and other charges thereon, of a loan of £5,800,
authorized to be raised by the Upper Hutt Borough Council
under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of con-
structing a dam 30 ft. above water-level at the Borough
Water-supply Headworks, the said Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of twelve twenty-fifths of one penny in
the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the
unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough
of Upper Hutt, and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable
on the first day of September in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-four years,
or until the loan is fully paid off.

This is to certify that the above is a true and correct extract
from the proceedings of the Upper Hutt Borough Council at
a meeting held on the 26th day of May, 1930, at the Council

NOTICE is hereby given that the above-named company,
at a meeting held on 5th June, 1930, confirmed the
following resolution, which was passed at a meeting held on
the 22nd day of May, 1930 :—

“That the company, having disposed of its business and
plant, be wound up voluntarily; and that PERCY W. MOSS,
of Portobello, be appointed Liquidator for the purposes of
such winding-up.”

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to section 168,
subsection (6), of the Companies Act, 1908, an entry
was made in the minute-book of the company on the 2nd
day of June, 1930, signed by at least three-fourths of the
members of the company, holding in the aggregate at least
three-fourths of the shares in the capital of the company,
resolving that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that
WILLIAM CARROLL, of Oamaru, Accountant, be appointed
Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.

next to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the
Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the
evidence of my qualification in the office of the Department of
Health at Auckland.

WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of
all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Whakatane
County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £5,000,
authorized to be raised by Whakatane County Council under
the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of metalling Railway
Road (special-rating area whole of Whakatane County), the
said Council, pursuant to section 23 of the Local Bodies’
Loans Act, 1926, hereby increases to one-eleventh pence in
the pound sterling the special rate of one-sixteenth pence
(1/16d.) in the pound sterling made and levied by resolution
passed by the said Council on the 11th day of December,
1923, and published on page 167 of the New Zealand Gazette,
1924, on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved
value) of all rateable property in the special-rating district
aforementioned in the County of Whakatane, such rate of
one-sixteenth pence in the pound sterling being insufficient
to provide for payment of interest, sinking fund, and other
charges on such loan, and that such special rate (as increased)
shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of
such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of
May and the first day of November in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, or until the loan is fully
paid off.
