RE DEPOSIT OF £5,000.

Dear Sir,—

London, 31st March, 1930.

In January of last year a deposit of £5,000 was made as there was a possibility of the society transacting life business in New Zealand.

I would inform you that the society has not transacted any type of life insurance in New Zealand, and does not intend to do so, and I shall be glad therefore if you will now take formal notice of the fact that we desire to withdraw the deposit of £5,000.

I shall be obliged if you will let me have a formal acknowledgment of this letter, together with a note of the date from which the necessary six months' notice of withdrawal takes effect.

Yours faithfully,

W. A. WINKMAN, General Manager.

The Public Trustee, Dominion of New Zealand, Wellington, New Zealand.

And the Public Trustee further gives notice that it is his intention, at the expiration of a period of six months from the 12th May, 1930, and upon being satisfied that the said society has not at any time carried on the business of life insurance in New Zealand, to refund the said compulsory deposit of £5,000 to the said society.
