PRIVATE BILL.
In the matter of a Private Estate Bill intended to be brought into the General Assembly of New Zealand the Short Title of which is the Kirkpatrick Masonic Institute Empowering Act, 1930.
PURSUANT to the Standing Rules and Orders of the General Assembly of New Zealand relating to Private Bills notice is hereby given that, not earlier than thirty days before and not later than fourteen days after the commencement of the session of the General Assembly of New Zealand to be held next after the date of this notice, Jesse Steer, George Malcolm Simpson, Charles Milner, George Manson, Herbert Hereward Edwards, Frederick Joseph Williams, and Charles Melville Collins, being the members of the Board of Governors of the Kirkpatrick Masonic Institute for orphan girls at Nelson appointed under the provisions of the will of Samuel Kirkpatrick, late of the City of Nelson, Manufacturer (deceased), will present a petition to the said General Assembly praying and applying for leave to bring in a Private Estate Bill to be called “The Kirkpatrick Masonic Institute Empowering Act, 1930.”
The objects of the proposed Bill are—
(1) To authorize the enlargement of the Kirkpatrick Masonic Institute for orphan girls at Nelson to enable it to accommodate and maintain more inmates.
(2) To authorize the Public Trustee to expend moneys from the estate of the said Samuel Kirkpatrick for the above purpose.
(3) To empower the Board of Governors of the said institute to accept donations and contributions from any source, and to apply and use the same for the purposes of the said institute.
(4) To provide for such donations and contributions to be vested in the Public Trustee to be held, together with the residuary estate of the said Samuel Kirkpatrick, for the purposes of the said institute.
(5) To empower the said Board and the Public Trustee to purchase, take on lease, or in exchange, or hire, or otherwise acquire real or personal property in connection with the said institute, or to grant a lease or sub-lease of any such property, or to rescind or vary any contract of sale or exchange in respect of the same.
(6) To authorize the said Board to distribute among the inmates of the said institute such annual sums of money by way of athletic prizes, pocket-money, and scholastic prizes as the said Board thinks fit in lieu of the sums provided by the will of the said Samuel Kirkpatrick for these purposes.
(7) To provide for the removal of the restrictions as to residence and domicile imposed by the said will in respect of the representative on the said Board of the District Grand Lodge of Westland and Nelson, English Constitution.
(8) To provide for the payment of the costs of and incidental to the obtaining and passing of the proposed Bill out of the residuary estate of the said Samuel Kirkpatrick.
A copy of the said petition and copies of the proposed Bill will be deposited in the Private Bill Office not earlier than thirty days before and not later than fourteen days after the commencement of the said session.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a duly constituted extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of ASSOCIATED INVESTMENT UNDERWRITERS (N.Z.), LTD., held at the registered office of the company, British Chambers, High Street, Auckland, on the 7th day of April, 1930, at 11 o’clock a.m., the following extraordinary resolution was passed:—
“ That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the shareholders that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that JOHN MACFARLANE ELLIFFE, Public Accountant, Auckland, of the firm of Hutchison, Elliffe, and Cameron, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator.”

SWIFT PRINTING SERVICE, LIMITED.
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of SWIFT PRINTING SERVICE, LIMITED (in Voluntary Liquidation).
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above company held on 30th April, 1930, the following resolution was passed:—
“ That the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up, and it is hereby resolved that the company be wound up voluntarily.”
It is further resolved “ That Mr. J. ANDERSON, Public Accountant, Auckland, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator of the company.”
All persons or firms having claims against the above company are required to forward full particulars of all such claims to the undersigned at the office of Messrs. Maben and Anderson, Acacia Buildings, Auckland, not later than 5th July, 1930, otherwise they may be excluded from participation in any distribution made.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and of THE AUTOMATIC DRAUGHT AND DUST STOP COMPANY, LIMITED, (in Liquidation).
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company duly convened and held at the company’s Registered Office, Auckland, on the 2nd day of April, 1930, the resolution firstly below mentioned was duly passed as an extraordinary resolution, and that at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting, also duly convened and held at the same place on the 23rd day of April, 1930, that same resolution was duly confirmed as a special resolution, and the resolution secondly below mentioned was at the same meeting passed as an ordinary resolution.
