THE following notice, received from the Chairman, Putaruru Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Town District of Putaruru taken on the 31st day of March, 1930, on the proposal of the Putaruru Town Board to borrow the sum of eight thousand pounds (Β£8,000) for the purpose of erecting, furnishing, and equipping a Town Hall in the Putaruru Town District, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 32; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 101; informal, 3.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

Notice respecting proposed Alteration of Boundaries, Borough of Ohakune.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the Borough of Ohakune and included in the County of Waimarino. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration of boundaries which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE BOROUGH OF OHAKUNE AND INCLUDED IN THE COUNTY OF WAIMARINO.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at the easternmost corner of Lot 5, Block VI, on plan W.D. 2234, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Wellington; thence easterly along the southern boundary of the North Island Main Trunk Railway to the Mangawhero River; thence down the Mangawhero River to the north-eastern corner of Lot 6, Block IX, on plan W.D. 2234, deposited as aforesaid; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 6, 5, 4, and 3, Block IX, on said plan to Taweroa Street; thence across that street and northerly along its western side to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 6, Block VI, on said plan W.D. 2234; thence to and along that boundary to the south-eastern corner of Lot 6 aforesaid; thence along the eastern boundary of Lot 6 to its north-eastern corner; thence along the southern boundary of Lot 5, Block VI aforesaid, to its easternmost corner, the point of commencement.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section 4 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1929, I, George William Forbes, Minister of Lands for the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Andrew John McGovern, Esquire, of Te Awamutu, Farmer, to be a member of the South Auckland No. 1 Advisory Committee appointed for the purposes set forth in the said section in the place of Walter Frederick Woodward, Esquire, of Parawera, Farmer, who has resigned.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Road of less Width than 66 ft.
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Minister of Lands, it is inexpedient, by reason of the fact that the land shown upon the plan of Town of Woodvale, affecting part of Section 34, Hutt Registration District, in Block XIV, Belmont Survey District, is intended to be used wholly for residential purposes, that the proposed road shown therein should be of the width of 66 ft.:
Now, therefore, I, George William Forbes, Minister of Lands, do hereby, in pursuance of the power conferred upon me by section 17, subsection (1), of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power me thereunto enabling, authorize the laying-off of such road of a width of not less than 40 ft.: Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle of such road.
Given under my hand, this 14th day of April, 1930.

Notice of Intention to take Additional Land in Block 11, Tauranga Survey District, for the Purposes of a Native School.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the additional land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a Native school: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Tauranga, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 1 rood 37 perches.
Being portion of Umuhapuku No. 2A Block.
Situated in Block II, Tauranga Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 25450.)
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 77826, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
