A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the portion of road in Orari Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 1 rood 17-4 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Rural Section 3307A and Reserve 3899.
Situated in Block II, Orari Survey District (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 2138.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 78194, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as stopped the Government roads described in the Schedule hereto, such roads being no longer required.

Arranging Representation on the Otago Electric-power Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of April, 1930.
Present:
His Excellency The Governor-General in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925 (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”), and of all other powers and authorities in anyway enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following provisions with regard to representation of constituent districts on the Otago Electric-power Board (hereinafter referred to as “the Board”):
- (a) The Borough of Naseby and portions of the Counties of Taieri and Maniototo are hereby added as a combined district to the constituent districts of the Otago Electric-power District:
(b) The said combined district shall be represented on the Board by two members:
(c) The fifteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, is hereby fixed as the date for the first election of the representatives of the said combined district to the Board:
(d) The Maniototo County Council shall be “principal local authority” for the purposes of the Act.
- The Orders in Council described in the First Schedule hereto are hereby revoked as from the dates of the next general elections of the representatives of the constituent districts, and thereafter the following provisions shall have effect:
(a) The constituent districts which are bracketed together in the First Column of the Second Schedule hereto shall be constituted a combined district for the purposes of the Act.
(b) The local authority of the constituent district distinguished in the First Column of the Second Schedule hereto by the letter “p” shall be the principal local authority of the combined district in which that constituent district is included.
(c) The number of representatives of each constituent district or combined district on the Board shall be the number specified in the Second Column of the Second Schedule hereto opposite the name of that constituent or combined district.
(d) Each representative of a combined district holding office immediately before the above provisions take effect shall continue in office until his successor is elected in accordance with these provisions or appointed in accordance with the Act.
