Certain Lands, in respect of which there are no Electors, excluded from the Borough of Hastings.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS a petition publicly notified, has been presented to me under section seventeen of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1928, by the Council of the Borough of Hastings, praying me to alter the boundaries of the Borough of Hastings so as to exclude therefrom, and include in the County of Hawke’s Bay, the lands described in the Schedule hereto, being lands in the said borough in respect of which there are no electors:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the said borough are hereby altered so as to exclude therefrom and include in the County of Hawke’s Bay the lands described in the said Schedule hereto, being lands in the said borough in respect of which there are no electors, and I do further proclaim and declare that the areas included as aforesaid in the County of Hawke’s Bay shall be added to and form part of the Heretaunga Riding of that county.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, bounded by a line commencing at the westernmost corner of the Borough of Hastings; thence along the north-western boundary of the Borough of Hastings to its northernmost corner; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of the Borough of Hastings to the south-eastern side of Pakowhai Road; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern side of Pakowhai Road to Heretaunga Road; thence across Heretaunga Road to the south-eastern side of Maraekakaho Road; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern side of Maraekakaho Road to the south-western boundary of the Borough of Hastings; thence north-westerly along the borough boundary to its westernmost corner, the point of commencement.

Also all that area bounded by a line commencing at the easternmost corner of Lot 24 on plan 979, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar, at Napier; thence north-easterly along the north-western side of Karamu Road North to the boundary of the Borough of Hastings; thence south-easterly along the borough boundary to the south-eastern side of Karamu Road North; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern side of Karamu Road North to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 24 on plan 979 aforesaid; thence by a right line to the easternmost corner of the aforesaid Lot 24, the point of commencement.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 10th day of January, 1930.

Land set apart as Provisional State Forest declared to be subject to the Land Act, 1924.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section twenty of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Lands, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being portion of Provisional State Forest Reserve No. 1692, set apart by Proclamation dated the twenty-ninth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and gazetted on the eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, is required for settlement purposes; and, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such land shall, from and after the day of gazetting hereof, cease to be a provisional State forest, and shall become subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.
