To those persons or bodies of persons (whether incorporated or not) who shall undertake to place with or cause to be placed with the Minister of Railways the whole of their goods requiring conveyance between places in New Zealand, where in the opinion of the Minister it is reasonably practicable for such persons or bodies of persons to have their goods conveyed by railway the benefit of the classified rates, or, where applicable, the local rates as now or from time to time gazetted shall be extended and be payable in all cases where such classified or local rates shall be cheaper than the appropriate local uniform rate.

Small lots of goods of Classes A, B, C, and D will be charged pro rata at the local uniform rate, or classified rate where cheaper, instead of under Regulation 3, Part III. Minimum charge, 1s. The charge for small lots of Class E goods, computed under the provisions of Regulation 3, Part III, of tariff, is not to exceed the charges for small lots of goods charged at Class D or the local uniform rate where applicable.

Oamaru .. Christchurch or Woolston Hides, loose, or in bundles 49s. 2d. per ton. Minimum quantity, 2 tons per L wagon, 3 tons per LA wagon. Owners to load and unload.
Port Chalmers Benhar .. Silicate of soda, soda ash, felspar, whiting, metallic oxides, ground flint, cornish stone, and other raw materials used in the manufacture of earthenware 26s. 6d. per ton.
Port Chalmers Invercargill Goods, ex ship .. 45s. 6d. per ton dead weight. Minimum quantity, 5 tons per consignment. Sorting, where necessary, will be charged for under the provisions of Reg. 32, Part III.
Dunedin .. Greymouth Class A, B, C, and D consigned at Dunedin on Wednesdays. 78s. 10d. per ton.
Dunedin .. Benhar .. Silicate of soda, soda ash, felspar, whiting, metallic oxides, ground flint, cornish stone, and other raw materials used in the manufacture of earthenware 23s. 8d. per ton.
Dunedin .. Burnside .. Muriatic and nitric acid 4s. 2d. per ton. Minimum quantity, 2 tons per four-wheeled wagon.
Dunedin .. ,, .. Muriatic and nitric acid consigned to private sidings at Burnside 3s. 6d. per ton. Minimum quantity, 2 tons per four-wheeled wagon.
Dunedin .. Invercargill Soap, packed, New Zealand manufacture 32s. per ton. Minimum quantity, 5 cwt. per consignment.
Dunedin .. ,, Goods, ex ship .. 30s. per ton dead weight. Minimum quantity, 5 tons per consignment. Sorting, where necessary, will be charged for under the provisions of Reg. 32, Part III.
Burnside .. Dunedin .. Muriatic and nitric acid 4s. 2d. per ton. Minimum quantity, 2 tons per 4-wheeled wagon.
Burnside .. ,, .. Muriatic and nitric acid consigned to private sidings at Dunedin 3s. 6d. per ton. Minimum quantity, 2 tons per 4-wheeled wagon.
Edendale .. Bluff .. Sugar of milk, crude, for shipment by overseas vessels at Bluff 12s. 5d. per ton. Minimum quantity, 20 tons per consignment. Owners to load.
Bluff .. Invercargill Plaster board, ex ship 14s. per ton dead weight. This rate includes cost of sorting as provided in Regulation 32, Part III.
Bluff .. ,, Newsprint, ex ship .. 15s. per ton dead weight. This rate includes cost of sorting as provided in Regulation 32, Part III.
