Land set apart as Provisional State Forest declared to be subject to the Land Act, 1924.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section twenty of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I, Sir Michael Myers, Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Lands, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being portion of Provisional State Forest Reserve set apart by Proclamation dated the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, and gazetted on the third day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, is required for settlement purposes ; and, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such land shall, from and after the day of gazetting hereof, cease to be a provisional State forest, and shall become subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 17 perches, more or less, being portion of Section 6, Provisional State Forest Reserve, as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1922, page 1921, Block XIII, Mangakahia Survey District, bounded commencing at a point on a public road, distant 101·4 links bearing 83° 29' from old Peg A in S.O. plan 25413; on the east generally by lines bearing 174° 55' distance 606·4 links and bearing 211° 59' distance 366·8 links to the aforementioned public road; thence towards the west generally by that public road bearing 23° 25' distance 266·0 links and bearing 2° 57' distance 671·6 links to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 26/28137, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 5th day of March, 1930.

Land set apart as an Addition to Part of a General Government Reserve.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section nine of section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Sir Michael Myers, Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date hereof the land comprised in the closed road described in the First Schedule hereto, being land adjoining and intersecting that part of Reserve 425 described in the Second Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be added to the said part of the said reserve.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods 9 perches, more or less, situated in Block XII, Kowai Survey District, and being part of the road closed by Proclamation dated the 13th day of February, 1920, and published in the Gazette of the 19th day of that month: Bounded towards the north-west by part of Reserve Number 425, 972·6, and 832·5 links ; towards the north-east by part of Reserve Number 425, 100·5 links; towards the south-east by a public road and part of Reserve Number 425, 881·1 and 931 links, respectively ; and again towards the south-west by Crown land, 128·5 links : As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/1507B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District containing by admeasurement 14 acres 3 roods 10 perches, more or less, and being part Reserve Number 425, Block XII, Kowai Survey District, and being part of the said reserve permanently set aside for the uses of the Provincial Government, and particularly as a paddock for Police horses by notice published in the Canterbury Provincial Gazette of the 17th day of February, 1866: As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/1507c, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of March, 1930.

Declaring Lands in Westland Land District open for Disposal on Renewable Lease.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and fifty-four of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General, by Proclamation, may from time to time declare any Crown lands within any mining district to be open for disposal as provided in section one hundred and fifty-three of the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, Sir Michael Myers, Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-fifty-fourth section of the said Act, and of every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open on Monday, the fourteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, for disposal as provided in section one hundred and fifty-three of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.

TOWN LAND.

Runanga Borough.-Cobden Survey District.

Section 6, Block V : Area, 1 rood 1 perch. Capital value, £40. Half-yearly rent, £1.

Section 8, Block VIII : Area, 35·9 perches. Capital value, £40. Half-yearly rent, £1.

Weighted with £80, for dwellinghouse and clearing. This must be paid in cash.

Section 7, Block XXXVI : Area, 1 rood 10 perches. Capital value, £20. Half-yearly rent, 10s.

NATIONAL-ENDOWMENT LAND.

Runanga Borough.-Cobden Survey District.

Section 10, Block V : Area, 1 rood 1 perch. Capital value, £40. Half-yearly rent, £1.

Runanga Township is situated at the State Coal-mine, about three miles by road and railway from Greymouth.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 5th day of March, 1930.
