Constituting the Borough of One Tree Hill.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of section one hundred and thirty-one of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, a petition was presented to the Governor-General, praying that the area described in the said petition be constituted a new borough :

And whereas a Commission appointed under the said section one hundred and thirty-one held inquiries, and recommended that the area as prayed for be constituted a borough :

And whereas the provisions of the said section one hundred and thirty-one have been complied with in respect thereto, and the result of the poll taken on the proposal contained in the said petition was in favour thereof :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, I, Sir Michael Myers, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be constituted a borough under the said Act on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty; that the name of such borough shall be the Borough of One Tree Hill; and that the number of Councillors to be elected to the Council of the said borough shall be six, exclusive of the Mayor :

And I do further proclaim and declare that Arthur Leese, of One Tree Hill, shall be the Returning Officer to conduct the first election of Mayor and Councillors of the said borough; and that the said Arthur Leese shall be the Town Clerk and the person to prepare the district electors roll for the purposes of the said first election :

And, lastly, I do proclaim and declare that the first election of Mayor and Councillors of the said borough shall be held on Wednesday, the fourteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, and that the first meeting of the Council of the said borough shall be held on Wednesday, the twenty-first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, at seven-thirty o’clock in the afternoon, at the Board’s Office, 456 Manukau Road, Auckland.

SCHEDULE.

BOROUGH OF ONE TREE HILL.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District bounded towards the north-east by the north-eastern side of the Great South Road from its junction with the Auckland-Onehunga Road to Hamlin’s Creek at St. Anne’s Bridge; thence towards the south generally by Hamlin’s Creek and Manukau Harbour to the south-eastern corner of the Borough of Onehunga; thence towards the south-west generally by the Borough of Onehunga to the Auckland-Onehunga Road; and thence towards the west generally by the said Auckland-Onehunga Road to the place of commencement.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 5th day of March, 1930.

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road in the County of Horowhenua, near Shannon.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Wellington-Foxton Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road :

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section two hundred and twenty-six of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the
