Classification of Streets in Putaruru Town District.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Motor-lorry Regulations, 1927, and their amendments, I, William Andrew Veitch, Minister of Transport, do hereby declare that the streets described in the Schedule hereto, and situated in the Putaruru Town District, shall belong to the respective classes of streets shown in the same Schedule.

PUTARURU TOWN DISTRICT.
STREETS classified in the Fifth Class: Available for use thereon of any motor-lorry which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 2½ tons: Arapuni Street, Back Lichfield Road, Barnett Street, Bent Road, Buckland Road, Campbell Road, Carbury Road, Central Street, Duke Street, Glenshea Street, Henderson Street, High Street, Junction Street, Kensington Street, MacKenzie Street, Marchant Street, Margaret Street, Prospect Street, Scotia Glen Road, Short Street, Terrace Street.

Warrant in Terms of the Motor-vehicle (Supplementary) Regulations, 1928, approving of Phillips “Duplo” Double-filament Lamp for Headlights used on Motor-vehicles.
IN terms of Regulations 2 of the Motor-vehicle (Supplementary) Regulations, 1928, I, William Andrew Veitch, Minister of Transport, do hereby approve of the device known as the Phillips “Duplo” double-filament lamp for fitting to and use in connection with headlights on a motor-vehicle, provided that and so long as the said device is identical in effect, make, construction, and design with the sample thereof deposited in the offices of the Transport Department at Wellington.

Warrant in Terms of the Motor-vehicle (Supplementary) Regulations, 1928, approving of the “White Hand” Motor Direction-indicator for use on Motor-vehicles.
IN terms of Regulation 2 of the Motor-vehicle (Supplementary) Regulations, 1928, I, William Andrew Veitch, Minister of Transport, do hereby approve of the device known as the “White Hand” motor direction-indicator for fitting to and use on a motor-vehicle in terms of paragraph (b), clause (2), Regulation 12, of the Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1928; provided that and so long as the said device is fitted to a motor-vehicle so that a right-turn indication and a left-turn indication and a half-right-turn indication and a half-left-turn indication are given from approximately the same place on the off-side of the vehicle near the driver’s seat; and provided that and so long as the said device is identical in effect, make, construction, and design with the sample thereof deposited in the offices of the Transport Department at Wellington.

Defining Extreme Limits for Vessels engaged in Deep-sea Sports-fishing at Mercury Bay.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 189 of the Shipping and Seamen Act, 1908, I, William Andrew Veitch, acting for the Minister of Marine, do hereby define the extreme limits within which vessels engaged in deep-sea sports-fishing at Mercury Bay, and to which restricted limits certificates are issued, may ply, to be—
All that area embraced within the undermentioned portion of a circle of sixteen nautical miles radius, having as its centre the north-eastern extreme of Heri-heri-tauru, and commencing where that circle meets the shore northward of Kennedy Bay; thence by following that circle seaward of Mercury Islands and Alderman Islands to where it meets the shore south-westward of Rabbit Island.

By-laws under Rotorua Borough Act, 1922.
WHEREAS by section 8 of the Rotorua Borough Act, 1922, the control of the water-supply of the Borough of Rotorua is vested in the Department of Tourist and Health Resorts, which for the purpose of such section is a body corporate:
And whereas in respect of such works the said Department has all the powers for the time being conferred by law on Borough Councils, except the power to borrow money or to make and levy any special rates:
Now, therefore, the said Department doth hereby amend the by-laws published in the Gazette of 10th July, 1924, by adding the following words to By-law 4 (2)—namely, “Provided that in cases of water-supply given for flushing-supply service to any premises included in the special drainage rating-area for the Rotorua Borough Sewerage Loan, 1929, of £33,360, no fee shall be charged in any year for such supply so long as a special interest rate for such loan is levied on such premises by the Rotorua Borough Council,” and doth hereby declare that this amendment shall take effect and come into force on the 1st day of April, 1930.
Given under the Common Seal of the Department of Tourist and Health Resorts.

Portion of Maniapoto Consolidation Scheme confirmed.
In the matter of Section 6 of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1923.
NOTICE is hereby given that a scheme of consolidation in part, dated the 23rd day of March, 1928, dealing with Aria Township and other blocks, as set out in the said scheme, having been prepared by the Native Land Court in accordance with the above-mentioned Act, and submitted under the Seal of the said Court to the Native Minister for his approval; and the Native Minister being satisfied that the portion of the scheme so submitted is just and equitable, and is in the public interest, doth hereby confirm the portion of the said scheme of consolidation which was so submitted on the 23rd day of March, 1928.
