Alteration of Boundaries of Waimatuku River District, Counties
of Southland and Wallace.

A PROCLAMATION.
I N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on me by the River Boards Act, 1908, as
amended by the River Boards Amendment Act, 1913, and of
all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I,
Sir Michael Myers, Administrator of the Government of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and de-
clare that the boundaries of the Waimatuku River District
shall be altered so as to include in the said district the area of
land described in the First Schedule hereto; and do hereby
proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the said river
district, with such alteration as herein provided for, shall be
those described in the Second Schedule hereto:
And I do also proclaim and declare that the Waimatuku
River District, as hereinbefore altered, shall be divided into
four subdivisions, to be called respectively the Waimatuku
Subdivision, the Monte Cristo Subdivision, the Drummond
Subdivision, and the Otahuti Subdivision; the boundaries
whereof shall be those described in the Third Schedule hereto;
that the number of members who are to constitute the Board
of the said district shall be eight; and that two members
shall be elected for each of the said four subdivisions:
And I do also proclaim and declare that an election shall
be held for the purpose of electing two members for each of
the said four subdivisions of the said district; that Wednes-
day, the second day of April, one thousand nine hundred and
thirty, shall be the day, and the Waimatuku Public Hall
shall be the place, for holding such election; and that
John Fisher, of Otautau, shall be the person to prepare
the roll of electors and Returning Officer for the purpose of
such election.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
AREA INCLUDED IN THE WAIMATUKU RIVER DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, bounded by a
line commencing at the north-eastern corner of Section 54,
Oreti Hundred; thence northerly along the road forming the
western boundaries of Sections 97 and 93 and the western
boundary of Section 92, Oreti Hundred, to the north-western
corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along the
northern and eastern boundaries of the said Section 92 to
the north-western corner of Section 103, Oreti Hundred;
thence easterly along that boundary to a public road inter-
secting said Section 103 ; thence southerly along that road
to the north-eastern corner of Section 25, Oreti Hundred ;
thence westerly and northerly along the river district bound-
aries to the place of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF THE WAIMATUKU RIVER DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, bounded
towards the north-east generally by Section No. 79, Oreti
Hundred, from the northernmost corner of Section No. 70 to
the road intersecting that section; thence across that road
and by the road forming the south-western boundaries of
Sections 151, 152, 159, and the southern boundaries 158, 157,
156 to the north-eastern corner of Section 161, Oreti Hundred ;
thence towards the east generally by the road forming the
western boundaries of Sections 80, 86, 89, 90, 91, and 94, the
northern and western boundaries of Section 183, and the western
boundary of Section No. 182, Oreti Hundred; thence across
that road, and by the road forming the northern boundary
of Section No. 54, Block XX, New River Hundred, to the
north-eastern corner of that section; thence towards the west
by the road forming the western boundaries of Sections 97
and 93 and the western boundary of Section 92 to its north-
western corner; thence by the northern and eastern boundary
of that section to the north-western corner of Section No.
103, Oreti Hundred; thence easterly along that boundary to
a public road; thence southerly along that road to the south-
eastern corner of Section No. 55A, Block XXII, New River
Hundred; thence by Section 20, Block XXII aforesaid, to
the road which intersects that section, across and by that
road and the road forming the western boundaries of Sections
Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Block XI, New River Hundred, the road
forming the southern boundaries of Sections Nos. 5, 6, 7,
and the road forming part of the eastern boundary of Section
No. 12 to the north-western corner of Section No. 13, Block
XI aforesaid; thence by the western and southern boundaries
of that section, Section No. 14, the road forming the south-
eastern boundary of Section No. 18; across a road by Section
No. 32, the road forming the south-eastern boundary of Sections
Nos. 47A and 47, Block XI aforesaid, and intersecting Sections
Nos. 11 and 12, Block XII, to the south-western boundary
of the last-mentioned section; thence by that section to
