NOTICE is hereby given that REXONA PROPRIETARY, LIMITED, a company duly incorporated under the Companies Acts of the State of New South Wales, and having its registered office at Broughton House, Clarence Street, Sydney, proposes to commence and carry on business at Wellington, in the Dominion of New Zealand, and that the office or place of business of such company where legal process of any kind may be served upon it and notices of any kind may be addressed or delivered is situate at Jackson Street, Petone, Wellington.

THE TAIERI RIVER TRUST.

In the matter of the Taieri River Improvement Act, 1920, and in the matter of a Classification of certain Lands within the Taieri River Trust District pursuant to Section 8 of the said Act.

THE following resolution was passed at a duly convened meeting of the Taieri River Trust held in the offices of the Trust, Gordon Road, Mosgiel, on Monday, the 3rd day of February, 1930 :—

“That the area, the boundaries of which are described hereunder, be, and the same is hereby declared to be, a special area for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on the loan of £75,000, authorized by the ratepayers of the Taieri River Trust District to be raised for the following work or works—that is to say, the construction of the main embankments along the Taieri River and Waipori Lake outlet, Waipori Lake, and Waipori River, Main Pumping-station, and certain drains and drainage works, and the improvements to the Contour Channel.”

Boundaries: Commencing on the right bank of the Taieri River at the West Taieri Traffic-bridge near Outram Town District; thence along the right bank of the said river to its junction with the Waipori Lake outlet channel near the steel traffic-bridge at Henley; thence along the left bank of the Waipori Lake outlet channel to the shore of Lake Waipori; thence along the southern, eastern, and northern shores of Lake Waiporito, the left bank of the most easterly branch of the Waipori River; thence along the left bank of the Waipori River to a point immediately opposite the south-western corner of Section 14, Block II, Maungatua Survey District; thence across the Henley–Berwick road, and along the east side of the said road to its intersection with the main road Berwick to Outram; thence along the Berwick–Outram road to its intersection with the Woodside road at the north-east corner of Section 1, Block IV, West Taieri Survey District; thence by the Woodside road to Woodside; thence by the Woodside–Outram road to the western boundary of River Section 38, West Taieri Survey District; thence along the western boundary of the said section to its junction with the Outram Town District boundary; thence along the northern boundary of the said town district to the Taieri River; and along the right bank of the said river to the point of commencement. Excluding the Government railways, Township of Outram, and Outram Extension.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

THE Partnership heretofore existing between the undersigned is hereby dissolved as from the 24th day of January, 1930. The business of Plumbers previously carried on under the name of Messrs. MUSSON AND MULHOLLAND will henceforth be carried on by the undersigned THOMAS STUART MULHOLLAND under his own name at Hastings.

ELLESMERE COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Ellesmere County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a joint loan of one thousand pounds (£1,000), authorized to be raised by the Selwyn County Council and the Ellesmere County Council jointly under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of acquiring the piece of land described in subsection (8) of section 8 of the Local Legislation Act, 1927, and of erecting thereon a public hall and library for the use and benefit of the inhabitants of the parts of the said counties described in subsection (7) of section 8 of the Act aforesaid, hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-second (1/22nd) of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all the rateable property (on the basis of the capital value) comprised in and described in the special-rating area set out in subsection (7) of section 8 of the Local Legislation Act, 1927, aforesaid, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the thirty-first day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-three years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

We, the undersigned Chairman and Clerk respectively of the Ellesmere County Council, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Ellesmere County Council held at the office of the County Council at Leeston on the 3rd day of February, 1930.

SELWYN COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
