the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Otago Land District containing by admeasurement 327 acres 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, being Sections 7 and 10, Block VIII, Woodland District: Bounded towards the west by Section 6, 3058 links; towards the north by Section 8, 7315 links; towards the north-east generally by a public road, 3400 links; towards the east by a coast reserve, 2900 links; towards the south generally by Hinahina Creek, 5260 links and 4320 links, to the point of commencement: Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/585, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of February, 1930.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 5 acres 2 roods 6 perches.

Passing through Section 11, Block XII, Benger Survey District.

In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/1736, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2351, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of February, 1930.

deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2352, and thereon coloured yellow.
