THE following notice, received from the Chairman, Bay of Plenty Electric-power Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

BAY OF PLENTY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Bay of Plenty Electric-power District taken on the 5th day of December, 1929, on the proposal of the Bay of Plenty Electric-power Board to borrow a sum of £20,000 for constructing works for the extension of electric supply and reticulation within the Power Board’s district, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 218; the number recorded against the proposal was 16.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON PROPOSAL TO RAISE A LOAN.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of Martinborough taken on the 17th day of December, 1929, on the proposal of the Martinborough Borough Council to raise a loan of £2,100 for the purpose of reforming, bitumen-surfacing, and providing culverts on the main highways through the Borough of Martinborough, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 118; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 23.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
