Directing Sale of Railway Land, near Upper Hutt, under the Public Works Act, 1928.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 17th day of December, 1929.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the thirtieth section of the Public Works Act, 1928 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act or Provincial Ordinance, or otherwise howsoever, for any public work is not required for such public work the Governor-General may, by an Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions set forth in the said Act:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the pieces of land: 1 acre 2 roods 23 perches.
Portion of railway reserve (Memorial No. 23907).
Situated in Block II, Rimutaka Survey District, Hutt County. (L.T. 9522.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 454, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington.

The Western Side of Portion of Henui Road in the Borough of New Plymouth exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 17th day of December, 1929.

THE HONOURABLE G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in any-wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the New Plymouth Borough Council on the second day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, viz.:-
“That the New Plymouth Borough Council, being the local authority having control of the street hereinafter mentioned, hereby resolves and declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight, subsection one, of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to that portion of the western side of Henui Road to which part Section 91, Fitzroy District, New Plymouth, has frontage”; subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the western side of the portion of Henui Road (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE.
THE western side of all that portion of street situated in the Taranaki Land District, Borough of New Plymouth, known as Henui Road, fronting part Section 91, Fitzroy District. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 77139, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Hurunui Electric-power Board.-First Election.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 17th day of December, 1929.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint the twentieth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, as the day on which shall be held the first election of the representatives of the constituent districts in the Hurunui Electric-power District, being an electric-power district duly constituted by Proclamation dated the thirty-first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 74, of the seventh day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine.

Recreation Reserves in Auckland Land District brought under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 17th day of December, 1929.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the thirty-fourth section of the Public Reserves, Do-mains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserves for recreation in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserves shall hereafter be known as the Karewa Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.-KAREWA DOMAIN.
SECTIONS 1 and 2, Block IX, Kawhia North Survey District : Area: 4 acres O roods 37 perches.

Prescribing Dues and Rates for the use of the Wharf at Brown's Bay, Waiheke Island.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 17th day of December, 1929.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the thirtieth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 79, of the ninth day of the following month, Alfred Roderick Alison was licensed to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Brown's Bay, Waiheke Island, as a site for a wharf, to be erected in accordance with the plan marked M.D. 5200, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the term of fourteen years computed from the thirtieth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty:
And whereas the said license was with the consent of the Minister of Marine transferred to William McHardy, Michael James Jones, James McVeagh, and George Justin Browne (hereinafter called “the licensees”):
