Appointment of Officer for the Purpose of issuing Licenses and Permits for Camping-sites under the Tongariro Hatchery Camping-ground Regulations, 1928.
PURSUANT to Regulation 1 (3) of the Tongariro Hatchery Camping-ground Regulations, 1928, I, Philip Aldborough de la Perelle, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
G. F. Parsons, Tongariro Hatchery, Tokaanu,
to be an officer for the purpose of issuing licenses and permits under the above regulations.
As witness my hand at Wellington, this 13th day of December, 1929.

Open Season for Chamois and Thar Shooting, Waitaki Acclimatization District.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, Philip Aldborough de la Perelle, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the period from the 1st day of April, 1930, to the 21st day of May, 1930 (both days inclusive), to be an open season in the Waitaki Acclimatization District, described in the First Schedule hereto, for the taking or killing of the following imported game—viz., chamois and thar—subject to the following conditions.
CONDITIONS.

LICENSES to take or kill chamois bucks and thar bucks may be issued by the Chief Postmaster, Oamaru, on the recommendation of the Secretary of the Waitaki Acclimatization Society, on payment of a license fee of £5, in the form prescribed in the Second Schedule hereto, and subject to the said Act and regulations thereunder and this notification. The number of such licenses shall not exceed eleven; Provided that not more than one such license shall be issued to the same person: Also provided that if the number of applications received for licenses exceeds the number of available licenses, then the persons to whom such licenses are to be issued shall be decided by ballot: Provided, further, that no person shall be eligible to obtain a license under this Warrant who is the holder of a license to take or kill chamois bucks and thar bucks in the South Canterbury Acclimatization District issued under a Warrant of even date herewith and gazetted contemporaneously herewith.

No licensee shall take or kill more than two chamois bucks or two thar bucks, nor shall the total number of animals taken under this Warrant by any one licensee exceed two in all.

No doe or fawn shall be taken or killed on any pretext whatever; and no licensee shall allow any dog to accompany either himself or any attendant he may have with him.

Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorizing any person to sell any chamois or thar or any portion thereof.

The fees paid for licenses issued pursuant to this notification shall, after deducting the cost of and incidental to the issue of such licenses, and any other expenses in connection therewith, be paid to the Department of Tourist and Health Resorts and the Waitaki Acclimatization Society in equal proportions.

Any person committing a breach of any of these conditions is liable on conviction to a fine of £20.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Canterbury and Otago Land Districts bounded by a line commencing at Mount Cook and proceeding thence along a right line through Ball Hut to the western edge of the Tasman Glacier; along that edge of Tasman Glacier; down the middle of the Tasman River, the middle of Pukaki Lake, and the middle of Pukaki River and Waitaki River to the sea; thence along the sea-coast to the north-western corner of Section 1 of 20, Block III, Moeraki Survey District; thence southerly along the western boundary of the said section, and westerly along the southern boundaries of Sections 45, 44, and 43, Block IX, Moeraki Survey District, to the public road forming the western boundary of the last-mentioned section; thence north-westerly along that road to the north-eastern corner of Section 31, Block XI, Moeraki Survey District; thence westerly along the northern boundary of the said Section 31 to the eastern boundary of Block XII, Moeraki Survey District; thence northerly along that boundary to the north-eastern corner of the said Block XII; thence westerly along the northern boundary of that block to the eastern boundary of Section 4, Block XIV, Moeraki Survey District; thence northerly along the said eastern boundary to the road forming the northern boundary of the said Section 4; thence north-
