WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and its amendments, and of all other Acts and powers it in this behalf enabling, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves on the 5th day of December, 1929, as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a special loan of eighty thousand pounds (£80,000) to be known as “The Wellington City Street-widening Loan (No. 2), 1929,” authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council for the purpose of meeting the purchase-money, compensation, and expenditure in relation to the purchase or taking of any lands as authorized in and by Part IV of the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act, 1924, as amended by the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act, 1927, and for recouping any moneys expended by the Council for such purposes, and for the purpose of constructing and paving the widening, diversion, alteration, or extension of the following streets in the City of Wellington:—

Taranaki Street, Tory Street, Bond Street, Lambton Quay and Bowen Street, Hunter Street and Glasgow Street; also for the acquisition of properties as circumstances necessitate or opportunity offers in addition to properties in the streets specified;

the said Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixteenth of a penny (1/16d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wellington, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years from the 20th day of December, 1929, or until the loan is fully paid off.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to section 230 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of the above company will be held at the company’s office, 180 Wakefield Street, Wellington, on Tuesday, 31st December, 1929, at 2.30 o’clock p.m., for the purpose of laying the Liquidator’s accounts before the meeting, and receiving the Liquidator’s report, and for the purpose of passing an extraordinary resolution disposing of the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidator.

WAIPARA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Waipara County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of the instalments of principal and interest and other charges on a loan of five thousands’ pounds (£5,000), authorized to be raised by the Waipara County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the erection of workers’ dwellings in the Township of Waikari, the said Waipara County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three one-hundred-and-twenty-fifths (3/125ths) of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the said county, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable yearly on the thirty-first day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being the period of twenty-eight and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

MASTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Masterton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of two thousand nine hundred and fifty pounds (£2,950), authorized to be raised by the Masterton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing funds for repayment of moneys outstanding in respect of the Lansdowne Water-supply Loan of four thousand five hundred pounds (£4,500), 1909, the Masterton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one (1) penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the special-rating area, comprising all that part of the Borough of Masterton lying on the left or northern bank of the Waipoua River, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first (1st) day of July and the first (1st) day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Masterton was hereto affixed pursuant to a resolution of the Masterton Borough Council in the presence of—

MASTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Masterton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of four hundred and eighty-three pounds (£483), authorized to be raised by the Masterton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the Council’s share of the cost of construction of the Ruamahunga River Bridge at Te Ore Ore, the Masterton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twentieth of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the special-rating area, comprising the whole of the Borough of Masterton, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first (1st) day of August and the first (1st) day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Masterton was hereto affixed pursuant to a resolution of the Masterton Borough Council in the presence of—
