NOTICE is hereby given that an order of the Supreme Court was registered at the office of the Assistant Registrar of Companies in Auckland on the 9th November, 1929, by OTOROHANGA BUILDINGS, LIMITED, whereby the said Court approves and confirms a special resolution of the said company reducing its capital by the sum of £1,500, and cancelling 1,500 £1 shares.

SOUTHLAND COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND AND STOP A ROAD.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Southland County Council, pursuant to the provisions of section 22 of the Public Works Act, 1928, proposes to take part of Section 37, Block 22, Invercargill Hundred, coloured red on plan No. R 589, containing an area of 3 roods 37·7 poles, for the purposes of a public road :
And notice is also given that the Southland County Council, pursuant to the provisions of section 148 of the Public Works Act, 1928, proposes to stop that part of the public road adjoining Section 37, Block 22, Invercargill Hundred, coloured green on said plan No. R 589, containing an area of 3 roods 30·1 poles.
A copy of said plan No. R 589, showing the land proposed to be taken and the road proposed to be stopped is deposited, and lies open for public inspection, at the office of the Southland County Council, Clyde Street, Invercargill, and all persons objecting to the said proposals, or either of them, are required to lodge their objections, in writing, at the office of the Southland County Council on or before Saturday, the 18th day of January, 1930.

TAURANGA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Tauranga Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-five thousand pounds (£25,000), authorized to be raised by the Tauranga Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the construction and providing electric works as defined in the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and other works as provided in sections 81 and 82 of said Act, including the erection and construction of extensions to its present system of electric reticulation, and alterations and additions to its main and subsidiary feeders and substations, the said Tauranga Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-fifths (3/5ths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property of the Tauranga Electric-power District, comprising the whole of such district, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring special rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six (26) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
We certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Tauranga Electric-power Board at an ordinary meeting of the Board held on the 15th day of November, 1929.
