Districts constituted under the Marriage Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the Marriage Act, 1908, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing marriage districts known as the Tirau, Putaruru, and Rotorua Districts, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into four marriage districts, the names and boundaries whereof shall be as follows:β€”

MAMAKU DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, bounded by a line commencing at the north-eastern corner of Mangarewa-Kaharoa No. 8B, situated in Blocks VII and VIII, Rotorua Survey District; thence along the eastern boundary of that block to its south-eastern corner; thence along the south-eastern boundary of No. 1A to its south-eastern corner; thence along the south-eastern boundary of Waiteti 2B No. 2B to a public road; thence to and along the middle of that road to the eastern boundary of Waiteti 2A No. 2D; thence along the eastern and southern boundaries of that block to the south-eastern boundary of Okoheriki 2c 4c No. 4A Block; thence along that boundary and its production to the Rotorua Railway line; thence along that railway-line to the western boundary of Section 10, Block XV, Rotorua Survey District; thence along the western boundary of Sections 10 and 11, Block XV aforesaid, the northern and western boundaries of Section 4, to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along a right line to the north-western corner of Section 18, Block XV, Rotorua Survey District; thence along the western boundary of Sections 18 and 17, Block XV aforesaid, and Sections 6 and 8, Block III, Horohoro Survey District, to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence up the Ngongotaha Stream to its intersection with the south-eastern corner of Section 10, Block II, Horohoro Survey District; thence along the southern boundary of Sections 10 and 9, Block II, and Section 5, Block I, to the Oraka Stream; thence down the Oraka Stream to the south-western boundary of Section 3, Block I, Horohoro West Survey District; thence along that boundary and the south-western boundary of Section 4, Block I, Horohoro West Survey District, to the westernmost corner of the said Section 4; thence along the north-western boundary of Section 4, Block I aforesaid, Sections 10, 3, and 17, Block XIII, Rotorua Survey District, Sections 3A, 3C, 5, 4, 5A, and 9A, and that line produced to the north-western corner of the forest reserve proclaimed in New Zealand Gazette, 1920, page 2107; thence easterly along the southern boundary of the Mangarewa-Kaharoa 6E 3 No. 2A 2, as shown on plan 9941, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, to the north-eastern corner of Mangarewa-Kaharoa 8B, the place of commencement.

TIRAU DISTRICT.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the right bank of the Waikato River in line with the north-western boundary of the Waipa Block; thence north-easterly generally along the north-western boundaries of the Waipa and Mangawhara Blocks to the Mangawhara Stream; thence along a right line to the north-western corner of Mangawhara No. 1A Block; thence along the northern and eastern boundaries of that block to the north-western corner of Section 51, Block X, Tapapa Survey District; thence along the northern boundary of that section to the Waichutu Stream; thence up that stream to its confluence with the Kakaho Stream; thence up that stream to the northern boundary of Section 64, Blocks XII and XVI, Tapapa Survey District; thence along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 64 and 65, Blocks XII and XVI aforesaid, to the westernmost corner of Whaiti-Kuranui No. 5D; thence along the western boundary of that block and of Whaiti-Kuranui No. 6C No. 2 to the south-western corner of Whaiti-Kuranui 6C No. 1; thence along a right line to the south-western corner of N.R. 59; thence along the south-eastern and eastern boundaries of the said N.R. 59 to the south-eastern boundary of Whaiti-Kuranui 6A No. 1; thence along the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of that block and the south-eastern boundary of Okauia No. 1B, Section 7, to the easternmost corner of the said Okauia No. 1B, Section 7 Block; thence by a right line drawn between Te Weraiti Trig. Station and Puwhenua Trig. Station to the last-mentioned point; thence south-westerly along a right line running between Puwhenua Trig. Station and Uraura Trig. Station to the northern boundary of the Mamaku Registration District, hereinbefore described; thence along the northern and north-western boundaries of that district to the Auckland-Rotorua railway; thence generally westerly along that railway to the Oraka Stream; thence down that stream to the road forming the northern boundary of Section 1, Selwyn Settlement; thence along the northern boundaries generally of Sections 1, 3, 7, and 8, Selwyn Settlement, to the Pokaiwhenua Stream; thence by that stream to the Waikato River, and by the Waikato River to the place of commencement.

PUTARURU DISTRICT.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, bounded on the north by the Tirau Registration District, hereinbefore described, from the Waikato River to the western boundary of the Mamaku Registration District hereinbefore described; thence along the western and southern boundaries of that district to its intersection with a line running between Puwhenua Trig. Station and Uraura Trig. Station; thence south-westerly along that line and its production to the Lichfield-Atiamuri Road; thence by that road to the middle of the Waikato River; thence down the Waikato River to the mouth of the Pokaiwhenua Stream, the point of commencement.

ROTORUA DISTRICT.

All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line running due east from the summit of the Otane-Wainuku Trig. Station to the western boundary of the Matata Parish; thence southerly, north-easterly, and south-easterly along the western and southern boundaries of the Matata Parish, and southern boundary of the Rangitaiki Parish to the middle of the Whakatane River; thence up the Whakatane River to a point in line with the production of a line running from Paeroa Trig. Station through Tuwhirau Trig. Station to the Whakatane River; by that line to Paeroa Trig. Station aforesaid; thence by a right line to Uraura Trig. Station; thence by the eastern boundary of the Putaruru, the southern, eastern, and northern boundaries of the Mamaku, and the eastern boundary of the Tirau Registration Districts, hereinbefore described, to a point due west of Otane-Wainuku Trig. Station; thence by a right line to Otane-Wainuku Trig. Station, the point of commencement.

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the second day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirty.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of November, 1929.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor-General by the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing registration districts known as the Tirau, Putaruru, and Rotorua Districts, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into four registration districts, the names whereof shall be the Mamaku, Tirau, Putaruru, and Rotorua Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be conterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of the Marriage Act, 1908.

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the second day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirty.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of November, 1929.
