Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.
Wellington, 3rd December, 1929.
THE following notice, received from the Mayor, Greymouth Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.
JOSEPH WARD, Minister of Finance.
I, JOHN WEBBER GREENSLADE, Mayor of the Borough of Greymouth, give notice that the poll taken on Wednesday, the 20th day of November, 1929, on the proposal of the Greymouth Borough Council to borrow by way of loan the sum of £2,500 for improvements to the Greymouth Domain, resulted as follows :—
For the proposal, 199 ; against the proposal, 531 ; informal, 36.
And I hereby declare the proposal rejected.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman, Waipa County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926
JOSEPH WARD, Minister of Finance.
WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Kakepuku Special-rating Area taken on the 22nd day of November, 1929, on the proposal of the Waipa County Council to borrow the sum of £2,500 for the purpose of forming and metalling for the first time of roads in the said special-rating area, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 30 ; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 5.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor, Rotorua Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

BOROUGH OF ROTORUA.
Suburban Sewerage Loan Proposal.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the special-rating area of the Borough of Rotorua, taken on the 20th day of November, 1929, on the proposal of the Rotorua Borough Council to borrow the sum of £33,360 for the sewerage reticulation of the surburban drainage area, the installation of pumping plant, treatment tank, effluent main, &c., the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 224 ; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 125.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Date of Election by Fire Insurance Companies to fill Extraordinary Vacancies on Balclutha, Kaitangata, and Milton Fire Boards.

PURSUANT to the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, and the rules made thereunder, I, Philip Aldborough de la Perrelle, being the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act, do hereby appoint Friday, 20th December, 1929, to be the date for holding the election of one member of the Balclutha, Kaitangata, and Milton Fire Boards by the fire-insurance companies concerned, such election being held to fill the extraordinary vacancy caused by the death of Mr. M. H. T. Priest.
