The lessee of Section 1s will be required, as a condition of the lease, to keep the present river protective-bank in good and substantial repair.

The existing telephone lines running through Sections 3s and 4s must be protected, and the right of access is reserved for repairs or other attention to the line.

Financial Instructions and Allowance Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces amended.—Amendments No. 31.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Defence Act, 1909, and its amendments, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend, in the manner and to the extent set forth in the Schedule hereto, the Financial Instructions and Allowance Regulations for the New Zealand Military Forces, published in the New Zealand Gazette dated the sixth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five; and I do hereby declare that the amendments hereby made shall take effect as from date of publication thereof in the Gazette.


SCHEDULE.

FINANCIAL INSTRUCTIONS AND ALLOWANCE REGULATIONS FOR THE NEW ZEALAND MILITARY FORCES.

  1. PARAGRAPH 165, as amended by Gazettes dated 30th September, 1926, and 28th February, 1929, is hereby further amended as follows:—

(a) Subparagraph II (x), line 3: Delete “next,” and after “due” add “for the year in which the charge arises.”

(b) Subparagraph II (xiii), line 1: After “colours” add “including scrolls, colour blocks, and photographs.”

(c) After subparagraph II (xiii), add new subparagraph as follows:—

“(xiv) Expenditure in connection with unapproved bands mentioned in paragraph 180.”

  1. Paragraph 168: Add at end of paragraph:—

“In cases where the value of returns of charges plus credit balance exceeds the grant due, the matter is to be submitted to General Headquarters.”

  1. Paragraph 174, lines 1 and 2: Delete “other than secondary-school units.”

  2. Paragraph 175 is hereby revoked.

Appointment of Issuing Officer for the Purpose of issuing Licenses to fish for Trout under the Taupo Trout-fishing Regulations, 1929.


PURSUANT to the provisions of regulation 2 (2) of the Taupo Trout-fishing Regulations, 1929, I, Philip Aldborough de la Perrelle, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby authorize

Douglas Standage, Manager of the Chateau Tongariro,

to be an Issuing Officer for the purpose of issuing licenses to fish for trout under the Taupo Trout-fishing Regulations, 1929.
