  1. The Makara County Council shall consist of eight
    councillors, who shall be elected as follows :—
    The Electors of the Belmont, Porirua, Tawa, Titahi,
    Ngahauranga, and Ohariu Ridings shall each elect one
    Councillor, and the Electors of the Makara Riding shall
    elect two Councillors.

  2. This special order shall take effect on a date to be fixed
    in that behalf by the Minister of Internal Affairs and notified
    in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE.

  1. Belmont Riding.

All that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by
a line commencing at a point on the Porirua Harbour in line
with the north-east boundary of Section 99, Porirua District,
Block VIII, Paekakariki Survey District ; thence to and
along that boundary ; thence generally southwards along the
north-eastern boundaries of Sections 29 and 32, Takapu
District, 35 Horokiwi Road District, Block II, Belmont
Survey District ; Sections 348, 344, Hutt District, Block III,
Belmont Survey District ; Sections 34, 33 32, 31, 30, 29, 28,
Horokiwi Road District, Block II, Belmont Survey District ;
Sections 27, 26, 25, 24, 22, 21, 20, 16, 15, 14, 12, 11, 9, Horo-
kiwi Road District, Block VIII, Belmont Survey District ;
and thence eastwards along the north-eastern boundary of
Section 78, Hutt District, Block XIII, Belmont Survey
District, to the western boundary of the Petone Borough ;
thence generally southwards along the western boundary of
the said Petone Borough to Port Nicholson ; thence south-
wards along Port Nicholson to the south-eastern corner of
Section 16, Harbour District, Block XII, Belmont Survey
District ; thence generally northwards along the south-
western boundaries of Section 16, Harbour District, 2, 3,
Horokiwi Road District, Block XII, Belmont Survey Dis-
trict ; Sections 4, 6, 8, 10, 13, 17, 18, 38, Horokiwi Road
District ; 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, Takapu District, Block VII, Belmont
Survey District ; and thence generally northwards along the
north-western boundaries of Sections 8, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17,
Takapu District, to the south-east corner of Section 107,
Porirua District, Block II, Belmont Survey District ; thence
to the north-west corner of the said Section 107 ; thence
across the Kenepuru Stream to a point in line with the western
boundary of the said Section 107 ; thence southward and
westward generally along the right bank of the said stream
to its junction with the Porirua Stream ; thence westwards
along the right bank of the said Proirua Stream to the Porirua
Harbour ; thence northwards generally along the eastern side
of the Porirua Harbour to the point of commencement.

  1. Porirua Riding.

All that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by
a line commencing at a point on the right bank of the Kene-
puru Stream in line with the western boundary of Section
107, Porirua District, Block II, Belmont Survey District ;
thence southwards generally along the south-western boundary
of the Belmont Riding (hereinbefore described) to the south-
east corner of Section 56, Porirua District, Block V, Belmont
Survey District ; thence in a north-westerly direction along
the south-west boundary of the said Section 56 to its inter-
section with the public road forming the western boundary
of the said section ; thence across that road and southwards
generally by its western side to the south-east corner of
Section 54, Porirua District, Block V, Belmont Survey Dis-
trict ; thence westwards along the south-west boundary of
the said Section 54 to the south-west corner of the land
shown on plan A/2459 ; thence southwards across Section
52, Porirua District, Block V, Belmont Survey District, by
the production of the western boundary line of the land
shown in the aforesaid plan A/2459 to its intersection with
the northern boundary of Section 49, Porirua District, Block
V, Belmont Survey District ; thence westwards by the said
boundary of Section 49 to the north-eastern corner of Section
52A, Block V, Belmont Survey District ; thence southwards
and westward by the eastern and southern boundaries of the
said Section 52A to the western boundary of the aforesaid
Section 49 ; thence southwards along the said boundary to
the south-west corner of the said Section 49 ; thence west-
wards and northwards along the southern and western bound-
aries of the land in S.O. Plan 71/52 to the north-western
corner of the said land ; thence westwards along the southern
boundary of the land in S.O. Plan 71/17 and northwards for
a distance of 1404·7 links along the western boundary of the
said plan ; thence westwards along a bearing 297° 50′ for
a distance of 1371 links to the south-eastern boundary of
Section 44, Ohariu District, Block V, Belmont Survey District ;
thence northwards generally along the north-western bound-
aries of Sections 123 and 122, Ohariu District, Block V,
Belmont Survey District ; and thence south-east and north-
east along the northern boundary of the said Section 122 to
the south-west corner of Kenepuru Block, Section No. 5A,
2B 2, Block I, Belmont Survey District ; thence towards the
north-west along the north-west boundary of Kenepuru
Block, Sections Nos. 5A, 2B 2, and 4A to the intersection of
the north-west boundary of the said Kenepuru Block, Section
No. 4A, with the Urukaika Stream ; thence in a northerly
direction along the said stream to its intersection with the
western boundary of the Urukaika Block ; thence north-
wards generally along the western and northern boundaries
of the said Urukaika Block to the Porirua Harbour ; thence
in a south-eastern direction along the western side of the
Porirua Harbour to the mouth of the Porirua Stream ; thence
across the said stream to the boundary of the Belmont
Riding (hereinbefore described) ; thence eastwards and
northwards along the boundary of the said Belmont Riding
to the point of commencement.

  1. Tawa Riding.

All that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by
a line commencing at the north-east corner of Section 53,
Porirua District, Block V, Belmont Survey District ; and
thence southwards generally along the western boundary of
the Belmont Riding (hereinbefore described) to the south-
east corner of Section 23, Porirua District, Block VII, Belmont
Survey District ; thence westwards along the south-west
boundary of the said Section 23 to its intersection with the
road ; thence across the said road to its western side ; thence
northwards along its western side to the south-east corner of
Section 22, Porirua District, Block VI, Belmont Survey
District, and westwards generally along the southern boundary
of the said Section 22 to the south-west corner of that section ;
thence northwards generally along the north-western bound-
aries of the said Section 22 and Sections 24, 26, 28, 31, 32,
34, 36, 38, 41, 43, 45, 47, Porirua District, Blocks VII and
V, Belmont Survey District ; and thence northwards and
eastwards along the eastern and southern boundaries of the
Porirua Riding (hereinbefore described) to the point of
commencement.

  1. Titahi Riding.

All that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a
line commencing at the south-east corner of the Urukaika
Block, Block I, Belmont Survey District ; and thence south-
wards generally along the north-west and north-east and
western boundaries of the Porirua Riding (hereinbefore
described) to the south-east corner of Section 40, Ohariu
District, Block V, Belmont Survey District ; thence in a
north-westerly direction along the south-west boundary of the
said Section 40 to the south-west corner of that section ;
thence southwards and westwards along the south-east and
south-west boundaries of Section 41, Ohariu District, Block V,
Belmont Survey District, to the sea ; thence along the sea-
coast to the west side of the Porirua Harbour ; and thence
along that side of the Porirua Harbour to the point of
commencement.

  1. Ngahauranga Riding.

All that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by
a line commencing at the north-west corner of Section 20,
Porirua District, Block VI, Belmont Survey District ; and
thence eastwards generally along the southern boundary of
the Tawa Riding (hereinbefore described) ; thence southwards
generally along the westerly boundary of the Belmont Riding
(hereinbefore described) to Port Nicholson ; thence south-
wards generally along Port Nicholson to Wellington City
boundary ; thence westwards generally along the Wellington
City boundary to the Johnsonville Town District boundary ;
thence northwards and westwards generally along the Johnson-
ville Town District boundary to the south-west corner of
Section 4, Block I, Hawtrey Settlement, Block XI, Belmont
Survey District ; thence northwards generally along the
north-western boundaries of the Hawtrey Settlement and of
Sections 18 and 20, Porirua District, Block VI, Port Nicholson
Survey District, to the point of commencement.

  1. Ohariu Riding.

All that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a
line commencing at the north-east corner of Section 42, Ohariu
District, Block V, Belmont Survey District ; thence south-
wards generally and eastwards generally along the north-west
and south-west boundaries of the Porirua Riding (hereinbefore
described) to its intersection with the western boundary of the
Tawa Riding (hereinbefore described) ; and thence southwards
generally along the western boundary of the said Tawa Riding
