deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, and thereon edged red.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of
November, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in any-
wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolu-
tions passed by the Dunedin City Council on the seventeenth
day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine,
and the eleventh day of September, one thousand nine
hundred and twenty-nine, respectively, viz. :
“ That the Dunedin City Council, being the local authority
having control of the streets in the City of Dunedin, by
resolution declares that the provisions of section one
hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928,
shall not apply to the undermentioned portions of streets,
viz. :
(a) Portion of the north-eastern side of Crewe Street
where it abuts on part of Allotment 4, L.T. plan 833,
Glen Estate ; and
(b) Portion of the south-western side of English Avenue
where it abuts on part of Allotment 2, L.T. plan 833,
Glen Estate :
as the said portions of streets are more particularly shown
on the plan annexed hereto and are thereon coloured red
to their centre-lines.”
“ That the Dunedin City Council being the local authority
having control of the streets in the City of Dunedin, by
resolution declares that the provisions of section one
hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928,
shall not apply to the undermentioned portions of streets
in the said city, viz. :
(a) Portion of the north-eastern side of Crewe Street
where it abuts on Allotment 5, L.T.P. 833, Glen
Estate ; and
(b) Portion of the north-western side of English Avenue
where it abuts on Allotment 5, L.T.P. 833, Glen
Estate ;
as the said portions of streets are shown on the plan
annexed hereto and are thereon coloured red to their
centre-lines ” ;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building
shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the northern
side of the portion of Crewe Street or fronting the western
side of the portion of English Avenue (described in the
Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from
the centre-lines of the said portions of streets.

Otago Land District, City of Dunedin, known as Crewe Street,
fronting Allotment 5 and part Allotment 4 (L.T.P. 833),
Glen Estate.
Also the western side of all that portion of street situated
in the said land district and city known as English Avenue,
fronting Allotment 5 and part Allotment 2 (L.T.P. 833), Glen
Estate.
As the said portions of streets are more particularly de-
lineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 76192, deposited in the
office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and
thereon coloured red.

Block I, Upper Kaikorai District ;
as the said portions of streets are more particularly shown
on the plan annexed hereto, and are thereon coloured
brown and edged with red to their centre-lines ” ;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building
shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the south-
eastern side of the portion of Cannington Road or the north-
western side of the portion of Brownville Crescent (described
in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet

Electric-power Board on the Instalment-repayment System of
a Sum of £8,000, being Portion of a Loan of £200,000.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Tararua Electric-power Board (herein-
after called “ the said local authority ”) has been
authorized to borrow the sum of two hundred thousand
pounds by a loan known as “ Electric Works Loan, 1922 ” :
And whereas the said local authority is desirous of raising
the sum of eight thousand pounds (hereinafter referred to as
the “ said sum ”), being portion of the sum of two hundred
thousand pounds, on the instalment-repayment system,
extending over the period hereinafter mentioned :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on him by section thirty-two of the Local Bodies’
Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities
enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the
borrowing by the said local authority of the said sum of eight
thousand pounds, upon terms of making the said sum, to-
gether with interest thereon, repayable by instalments extend-
ing over a period not exceeding thirty-three years.
