I, KENNETH CLAUDE GEORGE, heretofore called and known by the name of KENNETH CLAUDE CROWLEY, of Paparangi, near the City of Wellington, Farm Hand, hereby give public notice that on the 16th day of October, 1929, I formally and absolutely renounced, relinquished, and abandoned the use of my said surname of “Crowley,” and then assumed and adopted, and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of “George” instead of the said name of “Crowley”: And I give further notice that by a deed poll dated the 16th day of October, 1929, duly executed and attested, I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said surname of “Crowley,” and declared that I has assumed and adopted, and intended thenceforth upon all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of “George” instead of “Crowley,” and so as to be at all times thereafter called, known, and described by the name of “Kenneth Claude George” exclusively.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company, duly convened and held at Hawera on the 1st day of October, 1929, the resolution firstly below mentioned was duly passed as an extraordinary resolution, and that at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting also duly convened and held at the same place on the 16th day of October, 1929, the same resolution was duly confirmed as a special resolution, and the resolution secondly below mentioned was at the same meeting passed as an ordinary resolution.

EKETAHUNA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all the other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Main Highway Number 63 Loan (1929) of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of re-forming and metalling portion of Main Highway Number 63, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-second (1/22nd) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Ekatahuna, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the thirteenth day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
