Revoking Parts of Proclamations taking Land for the Wellington—New Plymouth Railway (Palmerston North Deviation), and taking for Road-diversions in connection therewith.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section 27 of the Public Works Act, 1928, it is enacted that if at any time after the issue or making of any Proclamation taking land under this Act, and before the payment or award of any compensation in respect of the taking thereof, it is found that the land or any part thereof is not required for the purpose for which it was taken, the Governor-General may, by a subsequent Proclamation gazetted, revoke the former Proclamation, either wholly or so far as he thinks necessary:

And whereas it is found that part of the land taken for the purposes of the Palmerston North Deviation of the Wellington—New Plymouth Railway by a Proclamation made under the Public Works Act, 1908, dated the fifth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 13, of the eleventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, page 585, and part of the land taken for road-diversions in connection with the Wellington—New Plymouth Railway (Palmerston North Deviation) by a Proclamation made under the Public Works Act, 1908, dated the tenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 47, of the fifteenth day of the same month, page 1916, are not required for the purposes for which they were taken:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke so much of the aforementioned Proclamations as affects the land described in the Schedule hereto.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on plans marked W.R. 37363 and 37919, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured grey, blue, and yellow.

Land reserved under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 12, Block XII, Tutamoe Survey District: Area, 18 acres 3 roods 15 perches, more or less.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of September, 1929.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the road in the Town of Waynes, described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ROAD CLOSED.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 2 roods 23 perches.

Adjoining Sections 1 and 6, Block VIII, Town of Waynes.

In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/1701, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2331, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 21st day of September, 1929.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Mining Act, 1926, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby abolish the Warden’s Court at Tauranga.
