DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
THE Partnership heretofore existing between us, the undersigned HUGH SHIELDS and THOMAS HENRY SHIELDS, in the trade or business of Grocers and General Storekeepers, carried on by us at Gisborne under the firm of “T. and H. Shields,” was dissolved on the 22nd day of July, 1929, by mutual consent. All debts due to and owing by the late firm will be received and paid by the undersigned Thomas Henry Shields, by whom the business will in future be carried on as heretofore at Gisborne under the style or firm of “T. H. Shields.”

NOTICE OF FINAL MEETING.

IN accordance with the provisions of sections 230 and 252 of the Companies Act, 1908, notice is hereby given that a final general meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held in the supper-room of the Town Hall, Foxton, on Thursday, 19th September, 1929, at 1.30 o’clock p.m.
Business: To receive and adopt the Liquidators’ report and statement of affairs, showing how the winding-up of the company has been conducted and its property disposed of.

OTAMATEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and of the Public Works Act, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Otamatea County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the taking of land for a road in the County of Otamatea:
And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council, situated at Paparoa, and is open for inspection. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Paparoa.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of NGAUTUKU LTD. (in Liquidation).
NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of shareholders will be held at the office of the Liquidator, 60 Shortland Street, Auckland, on Tuesday, the 24th day of September, 1929, at 2 o’clock p.m., for the purpose of laying an account before such meeting showing the manner in which the winding-up of the company has been conducted and the assets disposed of.

NEWTON KING, LIMITED.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of NEWTON KING, LIMITED.
NOTICE is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Taranaki District, dated the 26th day of August, 1929, confirming the reduction of the capital of the above-named company from £500,000 to £280,029 5s., and the minute (approved by the Court) showing with respect to the capital as altered the several particulars required by the above-mentioned Act were registered by the Assistant Registrar of Companies at New Plymouth on the 30th day of August, 1929, and that the said minute is in the words and figures following:—
Minute approved by the Court: “The capital of Newton King, Limited, is from henceforth £280,029 5s., divided into 200,195 ordinary shares of 3s. each and 250,000 preference shares of £1 each instead of the former capital of £500,000 divided into 250,000 ordinary shares of £1 each and 250,000 preference shares of £1 each. At the time of the registration of this minute the whole of the said ordinary shares numbered 1 to 179935, 180036 to 182760, 182786 to 187135, 187236 to 193595, 193646 to 193945, 194146 to 195520, 195546 to 196395, 196421 to 200100, and 200126 to 200745, all inclusive, and 174500 of the said preference shares numbered 250001 to 424500, both inclusive, have been issued. The sum of 3s. has been and is to be deemed to have been paid up on each of the said ordinary shares, and the sum of £1 has been and is to be deemed to have been paid up on each of the said 174,500 preference shares. The remaining 75,500 preference shares are unissued.”

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of THE BULKELEY INVESTMENT COMPANY, LIMITED.
AT a meeting of shareholders of the above-named company duly convened and held at Christchurch on the 2nd day of September, 1929, all the shareholders being present, the following resolution was passed:—
“That the BULKELEY INVESTMENT COMPANY, LIMITED, be wound up voluntarily, and that FREDERICK WILDING and HENRY DYKE ACLAND be appointed Liquidators for the purpose of such winding-up.”
