Notice of Intention to take Land in Block I, Waitoa Survey District, for the Purposes of a Road.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1923, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Patetonga, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 4 acres 0 roods 12 perches.
Being part of Lot 1, D.P. 13425, being part Maukoro Block.
Situated in Block I, Waitoa Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 25050.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 75413, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Whangamata, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 2 acres 0 roods 29·5 perches.
Being portion of Section 8.
Situated in Block XVI, Tairua Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 24942.)

Public Trust Office.—Establishment, Alteration, and Reconstitution of Local Districts.

WHEREAS by section 2 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921–22, it is enacted that the Public Trustee may, by notice in the Gazette, from time to time establish and define, abolish, alter, and reconstitute local districts for the purposes of the said Act: And whereas in pursuance of the said power a notice establishing and defining the local districts to be controlled by the several District Public Trustees as set out therein was published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 13th April, 1922: And whereas further notices in pursuance of the said power were published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 10th August, 1922, the 3rd April, 1924, the 19th November, 1925, and the 20th June, 1929: And whereas it has become expedient to establish, alter, and reconstitute the undermentioned local districts:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the before-mentioned powers, I, John William Macdonald, the Public Trustee of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby alter and reconstitute the local districts controlled respectively by the District Public Trustees at Napier and Palmerston North, and establish that controlled by the District Public Trustee at Hastings set out hereunder.

LOCAL DISTRICT OF NAPIER.

The following area has been removed from the control of the District Public Trustee, Napier, and placed under the control of the District Public Trustee at Hastings*:

All that portion of the Hawke’s Bay County, including the Borough of Hastings and the Town District of Havelock North, lying to the south of the Ngaruroro River and its tributary the Taruarau River, but excluding the townships of Clive and West Clive.

The following area has been removed from the control of the District Public Trustee, Napier, and placed under the control of the District Public Trustee at Palmerston North:

That portion of the Rangitikei County bounded on the west by the summits of the Kaimanawa Mountains to the junction of the Moawhango River and the Aorangi Stream, and from thence by the Moawhango River to its junction with the Rangitikei River, and from thence by that river to its junction with the Waikamaka River, and from thence by that river to a point known as Te Atuamahuru, on the north end of the Ruahine Range.

The local District of Napier will now include the District Office of Wairoa.

The local District of Palmerston North will now include the whole of the Rangitikei County.

LOCAL DISTRICT OF HASTINGS.

All that portion of the Hawke’s Bay County, including the Borough of Hastings and the Town District of Havelock North lying to the south of the Ngaruroro River and its tributary the Taruarau River, but excluding the townships of Clive and West Clive.

This notice shall operate as from the 1st day of September, 1929.

The Rural Intermediate Credit Act, 1927.

APPOINTMENT OF DISTRICT INTERMEDIATE CREDIT SUPERVISORS AND CHAIRMEN OF DISTRICT BOARDS.

IT is hereby notified for public information that the Rural Intermediate Credit Board, acting in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon it by section 14 of the Rural Intermediate Credit Act, 1927, and of all other powers and authorities it in that behalf enabling, has appointed—

(a) Colin Alexander Hendry, District Public Trustee at Hastings, to be an additional District Intermediate Credit Supervisor for the Hawke’s Bay Rural Intermediate Credit District, with headquarters at Hastings.

(b) Arthur Sylvester Faire, District Public Trustee at Auckland, to be District Intermediate Credit Supervisor for the Auckland Rural Intermediate Credit District in succession to Richard Froude Ward.

(c) Frederick William Browne, District Public Trustee at Napier, to be District Intermediate Credit Supervisor for the Hawke’s Bay Rural Intermediate Credit District in succession to Somerset Ward Smith.

And it is hereby further notified that the Rural Intermediate Credit Board, acting in pursuance and exercise of the power conferred on it by paragraph 10 of the regulations made under the said Act, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 22nd day of December, 1927, and of all other powers it in that behalf enabling, has appointed—

(d) The said Arthur Sylvester Faire to be Chairman of the Auckland District Rural Intermediate Credit Board, in succession to the said Richard Froude Ward.

(e) The said Frederick William Browne to be Chairman of the Hawke’s Bay District Rural Intermediate Credit Board, in succession to the said Somerset Ward Smith.

The appointment mentioned in paragraph (a) shall take effect as from the 1st day of September, 1929, the appointments mentioned in paragraphs (b) and (d) shall take effect as from the 26th day of August, 1929, and the appointments mentioned in paragraphs (c) and (e) shall take effect as from the 1st day of October, 1929.
