above-mentioned Act for the purpose of the permanent formation of footpaths in the borough, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nine one-hundredths of a penny (9/100d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Takapuna, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NAPIER BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE AS SECURITY FOR SPECIAL LOAN OF £2,660.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and the Local Authorities Empowering (Relief of Unemployment) Act, 1926, and their respective amendments, and of all other powers (if any) it enabling, the Napier Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £2,660 (being so much of a sum of £3,760 mentioned in a special resolution of the said Council passed at a meeting held on the 22nd day of April, 1929, and confirmed at a meeting held on the 13th day of May, 1929, as is sanctioned by the Local Government Loans Board), authorized to be raised by the said Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purposes of—
Widening Lawrence Road;
Extending the widening of Spencer Road from above the Botanical Gardens Gate to the corner of Chaucer Road;
Forming connecting road from Burns Terrace to Lambton Road;
Levelling up Gleeson Park and laying same down in grass or partly in grass and partly in asphalt for tennis-courts, bowling-greens, or croquet-lawns;
the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nine two-hundredths (9/200ths) of a penny in the pound (£1) upon all rateable property (on the basis of the unimproved value) within the Borough of Napier; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 14th day of August in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Napier Borough Council at a duly constituted meeting held on the 5th day of August, 1929.

WAIRAU RIVER BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Wairau River Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges in a loan of £14,500, authorized to be raised by the Wairau River Board under the above-mentioned Act for the following purposes, namely:—
(a) To purchase land at Lower Wairau required for straightening the lower reaches of the Wairau River,; and
(b) To purchase land required for the Fairhall River diversion scheme;
the said the Wairau River Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/9th of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Wairau River District, comprising the whole of the said district, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

COPY OF RESOLUTION PASSED BY THE WAIRARAPA SOUTH COUNTY COUNCIL ON THE 25TH DAY OF MAY, 1929.
Craigie Lea Road Loan (1929) of £300.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Wairarapa South County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the repayment instalments and other charges on the Wairarapa South County Council Craigie Lea Road Loan (1929) of £300, authorized to be raised by the Wairarapa South County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling (for the first time) and improving portion of the Craigie Lea Road, the said Wairarapa South County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-twelfths (5/12ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all the rateable properties in the Craigie Lea Special-rating Area of the County of Wairarapa South, being all that area in the Wainuioru and Mount Adams Survey Districts, commencing at the south-western corner of Section 221, Block XIV, Wainuioru Survey District; thence along the western boundaries of said Section 221, Section 298, Block XV, Wainuioru Survey District, Section 266, Block XIV, Wainuioru Survey District, and Section 292, Block XI, Wainuioru Survey District, to the northernmost corner of said Section 292; thence generally in an easterly direction along the northern boundaries of said Section 292, Section 3, said Block XI, Section 303 and Section 6, Block XII, Wainuioru Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of said Section 6; thence by the eastern and southern boundaries of said Section 6, the eastern boundaries of said Section 303, the eastern and southern boundaries of Section 217, said Block XV, to the southernmost corner of said Section 217; thence in an easterly direction by the northern boundary of Lot 1, Section 216, to its north-eastern corner; thence by the eastern boundaries of said Lot 1 and Section 220, Block XV, Wainuioru Survey District, and Section 224, Block III, Mount Adams Survey District, to the southernmost corner of said Section 224; thence by the southern and western boundaries of said Section 224, and part of the southern boundary of said Section 221 to the south-western corner of said Section 221, the point of commencement, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until such loan is fully paid off.
I, Edwin Thomas Beaven, Clerk of the Wairarapa South County Council, hereby certify that the above resolution is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Wairarapa South County Council on the 25th day of May, 1929.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore carried on by JOHN HARRISON ROBSON and EDWIN HENRY FAZACKERLEY, Sawmillers, Norfolk Road, has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 11th day of July, 1929, from which date the said business will be carried on by Edwin Henry Fazackerley, to whom all accounts owing to the Partnership shall be payable and who will discharge all Partnership liabilities.

CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Christchurch Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £70,000, authorized to be raised by the Christchurch Drainage Board under the above-named Act for the purpose of constructing sewers and other incidental works, the said Christchurch Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of nine sixty-fourths (9/64ths) of a penny in the pound sterling upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property contained within Schedule B of the special area defined and created by resolution of the Christchurch Drainage Board, bearing date the 17th day of April, 1923, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 37, of the 26th day of April, 1923, and that such special rate be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable on the 31st day of March in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
