RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.
In the matter of Section 21 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and the Counties Act, 1920.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Rodney County Council hereby resolves as follows :-
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of three hundred pounds, authorized to be raised by the Rodney County Council under the above-mentioned Act for reconstructing the Lower Matakana Wharf and erecting a storage shed thereon, the said Rodney County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Lower Matakana Wharf Special-rating Area, comprising the following area: Bounded, commencing on the coast at Snell's Beach at the south-east corner of Section one hundred and ninety-seven, Parish of Mahurangi; thence along the southern boundary of said Section one hundred and ninety-seven; thence by the western boundaries of Sections one hundred and ninety-seven, nineteen, twenty, twenty-one, and twenty-two, to the south-east boundary of Section twenty, Township of Matakana; thence by the southern, western, and northern boundaries of Sections twenty and nineteen, Township of Matakana, to the south-western boundary of Section twenty-four, Parish of Mahurangi; thence by the southern and western boundaries of Sections sixteen, fifteen, thirteen, twelve, seven, eight, nine, ten, twelve, three, four, five, and six, Township of Matakana, to the southern boundary of Section twenty-five, Parish of Mahurangi; thence by the southern, western, and northern boundaries of the said Section twenty-five to the waterside; thence by the water along the western boundaries of Sections twenty-five, twenty-six, and thirty-nine, Parish of Matakana; thence by the northern boundaries of Sections thirty-nine and thirty-eight to the waterside; thence across the water, to and along the northern boundary of Sections twelve and one hundred and fifteen of the Parish of Matakana; thence along the eastern boundaries of Sections one hundred and fifteen, eleven A, nine, ten, and two to the sea-coast; thence in a direct line by water to the point of commencement, which area comprises the following sections :-

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Rodney County Council held on the 19th day of June, 1929.
