ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by
a line commencing at a point, being the intersection of the
middle of the Waimakariri River and the production of the
middle of the road fronting Rural Section 7449, situated in
Block VI, Christchurch Survey District, and proceeding
then in an easterly direction generally down the Wai-
makariri River to Stewart’s Gully ; then north-easterly
down the middle of Stewart’s Gully and south-easterly down
the Waimakariri River again to the sea ; then southerly
generally along high-water mark of the sea to a point in line
with the road forming the northern boundary of Rural Sec-
tion 32867 ; then to and along that road to the north-
western corner of Rural Section 6856 ; then southerly along
the road forming the western boundary of that section to the
road forming the northern boundary of Reserve 3061 ; then
north-westerly along that road to its intersection with the
New Brighton Road ; then along the New Brighton Road
to the bridge over the Avon River ; then to and along the
left bank of the Avon River to the City of Christchurch
hereinbefore described ; then north-westerly and southerly

Road to a point in line with the northern side of Princess
Street ; then easterly along that line to the eastern side
of Blenheim Road ; then along a right line being the pro-
duction of the eastern side of Blenheim Road to a point on
the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 145 ; then
north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of Rural
Section 145 to the south-western boundary of Rural Sec-
tion 118 ; then south-easterly along that boundary to the
City of Christchurch, hereinbefore described ; then along
the boundary of the City of Christchurch to Archer’s Bridge,
near the southernmost corner of Rural Section 159 ; then
north-westerly along the middle of the road forming the
north-eastern boundaries of Rural Sections 121, 146, 156,
211, 240, and 108, respectively ; then westerly along the
middle of the road forming the northern boundaries of the
last-named section and of Rural Sections 160, 389, Reserve 79
(Racecourse), and Rural Section 1155, respectively, to the
westernmost corner of Rural Section 1226 ; then north-
easterly along the middle of the road forming the north-
western boundaries of the last-mentioned section and Rural
Sections 1209, 1236, 1089, 1714, 3282, 4414, 2354, 58, 2780,
and Reserve 323, intersecting Reserve 946, and forming the

BOUNDARIES OF THE MIDDLETON RIDING, COUNTY OF
WAIMAIRI.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by
a line commencing at a point on Yaldhurst Road in line
with the middle of Wakefield Road ; then north-easterly
along the middle of Wakefield Road and the production
thereof to the south-west boundary of R.S. 114 ; then
south-east along the south-west boundary of R.S. 114 and
the production thereof to the middle of Waimairi Road ;
then southerly along the middle of Waimairi Road to a
point opposite the western end of the northern boundary of
Lot 57, D.P. 2902 ; then easterly along the northern
boundaries of Lot 57, D.P. 2902, and Lots 2 and 3 of D.P.
3307, and production thereof to the middle of Ilam Road ;
then south-westerly and southerly along the middle of
Ilam Road to Carlton Street ; then easterly along the
middle of Carlton Street to the Borough of Riccarton, here-
inbefore described ; then southerly, easterly, and southerly
by the boundary of the said Borough of Riccarton to the
county boundary ; then south-westerly and north-westerly
