Order in Council consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £1,000 by the Mosgiel Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of August, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Mosgiel Borough Council (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) proposes to borrow, in accordance with the provisions of section three of the Main Highways Amendment Act, 1928, the sum of one thousand pounds by a loan to be known as “Mosgiel Junction – Middlemarch Main Highway Loan, 1929,” for the purpose of providing its proportion of the cost of sealing the Mosgiel Junction – Middlemarch Main Highway in the Mosgiel Borough :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the sum of one thousand pounds at such rate or rates of interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate of five pounds ten shillings per centum per annum, upon terms of making the said sum, together with interest thereon, repayable by instalments extending over a period not exceeding six years.

Order in Council consenting to the Raising on the Instalment-repayment System of a Loan of £2,600 by the Lower Hutt Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of August, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Lower Hutt Borough Council (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) has been authorized to borrow the sum of two thousand six hundred pounds by a loan to be known as “Relief of Unemployment Loan, 1929,” and the said sum has not yet been borrowed :
And whereas the said local authority is desirous of raising the said sum on the instalment-repayment system extending over a period of thirty years :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section thirty-two of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the borrowing by the said local authority of the said sum of two thousand six hundred pounds, upon terms of making the said loan, together with interest thereon, repayable by instalments extending over a period of thirty years.

Order in Council consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £16,500 by the Lower Hutt Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of August, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Lower Hutt Borough Council (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) proposes, pursuant to a requisition issued by the Board of Health under section twenty-two of the Health Act, 1920, to borrow the sum of sixteen thousand five hundred pounds by a loan to be known as “Sewerage and Drainage Works Loan, 1929,” for the purpose of providing certain drainage and sanitary works :
And whereas the said local authority is desirous of raising the said sum upon terms of making the same together with interest thereon, repayable by instalments extending over a period not exceeding the period hereinafter mentioned :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and by section thirty-two of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan up to the amount of sixteen thousand five hundred pounds, at such rate or rates of interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate of five pounds ten shillings per centum, upon terms of making the said sum, together with interest thereon, repayable by instalments extending over a period not exceeding thirty years, and the said local authority is hereby authorized to borrow the said sum accordingly.

Directing the Sale of Land under the Public Works Act, 1928, in Block I, Hawera Survey District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of August, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the public work for which it was acquired.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold
1 rood 39·4 perches.
Being Lots 4 and 16, D.P. 80, being part Section 26, Patea District.
Situated in Block I, Hawera Survey District.
In the Taranaki Land District: as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 76094, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged pink.

Extending Prohibition of Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of August, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, and by section one hundred and eleven of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913 (as amended by section eight of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1916), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a further period of eighteen months the Order in Council dated the tenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, and gazetted the twenty-second day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, prohibiting all alienation of the Native lands specified in the Schedule hereto, other than alienation in favour of the Crown.
