RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE OF ONE HALF-PENNY
IN THE POUND TO SECURE THE BROWN ROAD LOAN OF
£320.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and
of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Taranaki
County Council hereby resolved as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Taranaki
County Brown Road Special-rating District Loan of £320,
1928, authorized to be raised by the Taranaki County Council
under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of forming
and metalling 29 chains of Brown Road, the said council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny
(½d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis
of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the
Brown Road Special-rating District of the County of Taranaki, being Sections part 64, 144, part 65, part 134, part 134,
part 65, Block III, Paritutu Survey District ; and that such
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day
of April in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Council of
the County of Taranaki held on Monday, the 5th day of
August, 1929.

ROAD LOAN OF £400.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and
of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Taranaki
County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Taranaki
County Weld Road Special-rating District Loan of £400,
1928, authorized to be raised by the Taranaki County Council
under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of forming
and metalling the Weld Road, the said Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of one and eleven-sixteenths pence
(1¹¹⁄₁₆d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the
basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the
Weld Road Special-rating District of the County of Taranaki, being Sections 95, 98, 99, 100, part 87, 88, 92, 94,
96, 97, 108, 109, part 107, 110, 111, 112, 89, 90, 91, 93, Block
III, Cape Survey District ; and that such special rate shall
be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan,

and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Council of
