——
WHEREAS in pursuance of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act, 1928, I, George William Forbes, Minister of Lands, did appoint Herbert Bismark Matthews and Alexander Campbell Sutherland to examine and classify lands in that subdivision of the Kaitaia Drainage Area, constituted under the Swamp Drainage Act, 1915, which does not form the Kaitaia Town District:
And whereas the classification has been made by the said Herbert Bismark Matthews and Alexander Campbell Sutherland, and the list setting forth such classification has been signed by me:
Now therefore, pursuant to subsection (3) of the said section 3, I hereby give notice that the said classification list so signed by me will be open for inspection at the Kaitaia Post-office from the 8th day of August, 1929, to the 31st day of August, 1929, both days inclusive.
Any person aggrieved by such classification may appeal against the same on the ground that the land of the appellant or any other land in the drainage area has not been fairly classified in accordance with the benefit received or likely to be received from the construction of the works authorized by the Swamp Drainage Act, 1915, or has not been classified.
Notice of appeal setting out the grounds thereof must be given to the Clerk of the Magistrate’s Court at Kaitaia on or before the 9th day of September, 1929, and a copy of such notice of appeal must, on or before the last-mentioned date, be lodged at the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington.
The appeal will be heard by a Magistrate, at such convenient time and place as he appoints, of which fourteen days’ notice will be given to the appellant.
Dated at Wellington, this 31st day of July, 1929.
