IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the tenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of abattoirs, and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Wellington as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the tenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 9 acres 3 roods 13·6 perches.

Being portion of Section 5.

Allocating Cost of certain Proceedings under Section 131 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, in regard to Proposed Constitution of Borough of Mount Roskill.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of July, 1929.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in him by section one hundred and thirty-one of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct that the Mount Roskill Road Board shall defray all the costs of the Commission appointed under the said Act by Warrants under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, dated the second day of March, the fourth day of May, and the twenty-eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, to inquire into and report upon the proposal contained in the petition praying for the constitution of the Borough of Mount Roskill.

Amending Order in Council declaring Open Season for taking or killing Opossums, Westland, Grey District, and Buller Acclimatization Districts.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of July, 1929.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Orders in Council dated the third day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, and gazetted on the tenth day of the same month, open seasons for the taking or killing of opossums were declared in the Westland, Grey District, and Buller Acclimatization Districts from the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, both days inclusive:

And whereas it is expedient to amend the said Orders in Council in manner hereinafter provided:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, both hereby order and declare that the period within which opossums may be taken or killed within the Westland, Grey District, and Buller Acclimatization Districts, except in any sanctuary other than a scenic reserve, shall be from the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred
