comprising the Paemako Riding Area, as defined in the New Zealand Gazette of the 18th May, 1922; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and their amendments, and of all other Acts and powers it in this behalf enabling, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves on the 11th day of July, 1929, as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a special loan of twenty-four thousand two hundred pounds (£24,200) to be known as “The Wellington City Kelburn Viaduct Loan, 1929,” authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council for the purpose of the construction of a new viaduct across Glenmore Road, at Kelburn, in the City of Wellington, the said Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven two-hundred-and-fiftieths of a penny (7/250d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wellington, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years from the 1st day of March, 1930, or until the loan is fully paid off.

IN LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of the EARTHWOKKS CONSTRUCTION CO., LIMITED, a Private Company.
NOTICE is hereby given that the following special resolution was passed on the 11th day of July, 1929:—
“That the company be wound up forthwith, and that WILLIAM WARDROP WADDILOVE be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator of the company.”

THE LAWRENCE SLUICING COMPANY, LIMITED.
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company, duly convened and held on the 20th day of June, 1929, the subjoined special resolution was duly passed; and, at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the said company, also duly convened and held on the 11th day of July, 1929, the subjoined special resolution was duly confirmed:—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily.”
And at the last above-named meeting WILLIAM ALBERT MITSON and JOHN BROOK were appointed Liquidators for the purpose of such winding-up.

RETIREMENT FROM PARTNERSHIP.
TAKE notice that EDWARD MARSTON AYLETT has, as from the 6th day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, retired from the Partnership hitherto existing between him, ISABEL TURNBULL, and KATHLEEN JANE LAURIE, and carried on under the style of “The Artificial Flower Company,” at Auckland.
As from that date the said Isabel Turnbull and Kathleen Jane Laurie will carry on the said business in partnership alone. All debts due to the late Partnership and all liabilities of the same shall be paid to and discharged by the said Isabel Turnbull and Kathleen Jane Laurie.
