FOOTE’S BUILDINGS, LIMITED.
IN LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the
above company, in pursuance of section 230 of the
Companies Act, 1908, will be held at Foote Brothers, Elliott
Street, Auckland, on Friday, the 2nd day of August, 1929,
at four o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of laying
before such meeting the Liquidator’s accounts.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore
subsisting between WILLIAM PLOWMAN and PETER
ASHCROFT, carrying on business at Hastings as Cordial-
manufacturers under the name of “Plowman and Company,”
has been dissolved as from the 19th May, 1929.
The business will be carried on by the said Peter Ashcroft,
who will receive all moneys owing to and discharge all debts
owing by the said Partnership.

MATAKAOA COUNTY COUNCIL.
In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public
Works Act, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Matakaoa County
Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-
mentioned Acts, to executive a certain work—namely, to
construct a public road through the Wharekahika 18c and
18d 3 Blocks—and for the purposes of such public work the
lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be
taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the
lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office
of the Clerk of the said Council, situate at Te Araroa, and is
open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary
office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-
grounded objections to the execution of the said public work
or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections
in writing, and must send the same, within forty days from
the 15th day of July, 1929, being the date of first publication
of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers,
Te Araroa aforesaid.

BOROUGH OF OTAHUHU.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Otahuhu
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the
Otahuhu Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act
for the purpose of paying the compensation agreed upon in
respect of two strips of land dedicated by Messrs. Trendall
Brothers to widen Princes Street and Empire Lane respectively,
the said Otahuhu Borough Council makes and levies a special
rate of one-fortieth part of a penny in the pound upon the
rateable value of all rateable property of the rating district,
comprising the whole of the Borough of Otahuhu; and that
such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st
day of April in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of thirty-three years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.
SPECIAL RESOLUTION MADE ON THE 12TH DAY OF JULY, 1929.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the
Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £1,600, authorized to be raised by the
Waitomo County Council under the above-mentioned Act
for the purpose of completing the reforming, grading, culvert-
ing, and metalling of Kahuwera-Mapara Road, and reforming,
grading, culverting, and metalling portions of Tikitiki and
Mapara Roads from their junctions with Kahuwera Road,
the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies
a special rate of two pence in the pound upon the rate-
able value (being the unimproved value) of all rateable
property of the Kahuwera-Mapara Special-rating District,
comprising all that area bounded by a line commencing at
the north-east boundary of Kaingapipi 6c 1, Block III,
Totoro Survey District, where it joins the Mokau River, and
proceeding thence in an easterly direction along the northern
boundaries of Sections 1 and 2, Block IV, Totoro Survey
District; thence along the northern boundaries of Kahuwera
B No. 2, Subs. 5 and 6; thence northerly along the western
boundary of Kahuwera B No. 2, Sub. 7, to a point on the
said western boundary; thence by an imaginary line through
the said Sub. 7, to its eastern boundary at the north-western
corner of Section 22, Block IV, Totoro Survey District—thus
including half of the said Sub. 7 in the special area; thence
north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of Section
23, Block IV, Totoro Survey District, and Tuitui No. 2 to the
Mokau River; thence north-easterly along that river to the
north-western corner of Karu-o-te-whenua 1c 4b; thence
along the northern and eastern boundaries of Karu-o-te-
whenua 1c 4b, the western and southern boundaries of Marae-
taua 5d Section 2, eastern boundary of Maraetaua 5c,
the northern boundaries of Sections 5 and 4, Block V,
Totoro Survey District, the northern and eastern bound-
aries of Rangitoto-Tuhua 57b 2 to the northern boundary of
Section 13, Block V, Totoro Survey District; thence along
the latter boundary, the northern and eastern boundaries of
Section 12, the eastern boundaries of Sections 11 and 14,
Block V, and 5, Block VIII, to the southern boundary of the
latter section; thence by an imaginary line through the said
Section 5 to the north-eastern corner of Section 5s—thus
including half of the said Section 5 in the special area; thence
along the northern and western boundaries of the said Section
5s, the northern, eastern, and northern boundaries of Section
4, Block VII, Totoro Survey District, the north-western
and western boundaries of Section 3, Block VII, the northern
boundary of Section 6, Block VII, to its junction with the
Mokau River; thence northerly generally along that river to
the point of commencement; and that such special rate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and
every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan,
being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and In-
habitants of the County of Waitomo was hereto affixed in
the presence of—

to, giving access from Wairere Road to the Rukuhia Domain,
the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies
a special rate of one-eighth of a penny in the pound upon the
rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all rateable
property of the Rukuhia Bridge Special-rating District,
